Incredibly, Ben Donaldson is even worse at stand off than he is in the back 3.

Wonder if Dave Rennie got up early to watch? He'll be glad he did if so

Let none of us forget how chronically bad Wales were last year.   Under no circumstances should Warren Gatland get credit for this.

Wales going through is a small price to pay for the c**t's c**t, and the union who employed him and sacked a decent coach who was trying to build something to appoint him, getting emptied out in the group stages. A lot of likeable Australian players but f**k em

Dirk Kuyt coming on.

Edit: the worst thing about this is Jamie Roberts is now making Wales out to be the best team in the world.  He’s as insufferable as any of the BBC England guys back in the day.

Hard to think this Australia team would be any worse with Michael Hooper and Quade Cooper in there. Classic too clever Jones, dropping your too most experienced players before the tournament that should be the climax of their international career, rather than after when you're building to the next one. Truly genius

With Hooper, it was borderline whether he would recover from his calf injury in time, so there is at least a semblance of reason behind that. Leaving out Quade Cooper, who is their one decent playmaker, was inexcusable

I was listening to the 5 live pod past before the tournament started. There  was chat about Jones making these changes to blood newbies for the next 4 year cycle and WC in Australia.

It hasn’t started well if that was the case. They are shocking.

Oh yeah I know about the injury but still - if he's fit you call up one of the defining rugby union players of your country for the last 10 years and then figure out how much to play him from there.
