Rugby Union

I wasn't going to go but decided on Monday to go although I agree that it should have been part of the season ticket package. Was looking forward to seeing Kanatale but he went off injured after 5 min which gave George Horne a good run out, can't remember his first name but Zander Fagerson's brother had a good game albeit it was hard to say as they weren't playing top class opposition. Got the interest going again ahead of the season starting

Only slightly flippant question: Does it not sting like f**k when they dive over for tries?

If it's been done properly it shouldn't. I played on the old dunfermline astro pitch n it was awful but the one at forth bank is absolutely fine. Think they just need to have enough of the rubber crumb. Almost every rugby team that has 4G the players seem to love it yet footballers tend not to. Would think it would be the other way round.

To answer an earlier query, Zander's brother is Matt who's also a forward.  Nemia Kenatale went off so I hope he's ok for this Sat.

Despite being Warriors new signing, D'justice Sears Duru played for Canada 'A' in the front row.  Anyone know how he played?

Toony said the whole squad was to get a run out, so my query is why the internationalists never got a bit of game time.  After all, we'll need our strongest team for the Connacht game.

Same for NFL players who have been playing on astro for years.

Mind you there is a lot of negative PR about rubber crumb these days. Coconut Husk was used for Falcons pitch as a result. Meant to be a lot cooler on hot days too.

I played on the existing artificial pitch at Scotstoun a few years back and was amazed that it took a stud for scrums and didn't hurt a bit when you hit it with bare skin.

Think the rubber crumb is more of an issue in us because they unlike eu allow carcinogens to be used in tyre manufacture.

Looking forward to sat. Think Glasgow game is on sky followed by embra on bbc 2.

Tune into Sky Sports at 2:30pm for Llanelli Scarlets v Munster.  The Connacht v Glasgow Warriors game is on the same channel immediately after.  That all finishes about 7pm.

The Cardiff Blues v Edinburgh programme starts at 7:30pm on BBC 2.

Basically this is my Saturday.
