Rugby Union

Not as strong as the side that played against the USA as there's more of a development focus here but it's stronger than the side that played Canada.

On paper the toughest game will be against Uruguay especially since we'll only have Scottish based players but this side SHOULD be ok if we play well. The vast majority of the Chile team all play for the Selknam club in Santiago so they'll be used to playing together and their head coach Pablo Lemoine has done well in South American rugby.

They looked ok in attack even if I'd wager the Reds were playing a wider squad but their discipline in defence especially later in the game just about cost them.

Yeah, Reds missing all their Wallabies contingent.

our scrum has 65 caps between them with Ritchie having 50 of them. Ritchie i think has more caps than the rest of the starting 15 combined (if you remove one of Steyn or Tuipuloto). Only 6 players are in double digits cap wise in the 23 Ritchie, Styen, Tuipuloto, Schoeman, Darge and Hastings.

Incredible stuff. I thought the worst decision of the night would be the one against Alex Craig for tackling with a knee on the ground when he was never less than fully upright but no, this tops it.

We started too jaded as though we'd expect to win easily. However what's pleasing is that we've found composure and been more clinical as the 1st half wore on. We need to keep up the intensity as Chile deserve respect and won't go sway easily though they may tire later on.
