Connor1874
On 01/10/2022 at 20:24, Marten said: Hawick Royal Albert United 1-5 Dalkeith Thistle My fourth attempt to visit this ground. The previous 3 attempts the game got called off. Once I actually already was quite far in my journey when I found out (thankfully I found another game nearby). So I was getting nervous when I ended up in absolutely torrential rain on the way on the M90. I had 2 quick breaks to check social media whether or not it would go ahead. But it was worth it, a lovely ground and very welcoming people. Hawick surprisingly took the lead in the first half and took this into half-time. Their lead was deserved as Dalkeith were very poor. I don't know what Dalkeith's manager said at HT but it clearly helped. In the second half they were much better and they ultimately more than deserved the win, although the scoreline did flatter them a bit. The torrential rain did reach Hawick during the second half, the pitch got worse as the game went on. Great to see pictures of Albert Park. Been about 13 years at least since I was last there. Used to live in Hawick for a wee while and went to watch the Albert a few times. It's a crying shame that they're so poorly supported and basically a joke in the EoSFL. They've been the whipping boys for years. Hawick is a massive rugby town and has a great history, but with a population of 13,000+, they could easily have a fairly well backed and competitive football team in the town too. There are still plenty of football fans in the town, and Teri's are very proud of their town and its accomplishments. Also, they're miles from anywhere which means there's no real direct competition from bigger clubs. Would love to see them marketed much better.
Shanner
Is Lewisham Borough worth a visit? I'd prefer to go to Corinthian Casuals (the name), but rail strikes tomorrow will probably make that difficult from where I'm staying in London.
eindhovendee
Stockport 1-1 Walsall Hadn't said how this was so quick summary. Very entertaining game, Stockport scored in the first half after totally dominating it, carried that on into the second half and should have been out of sight before Walsall equalised with a couple of minutes to go and got an undeserved point. The refereeing was hilariously bad for both teams, Walsall fans celebrated and sang sarcastically "we've just had a shot" after an hour and Stockport fans sing a song about "the scarf my father wore" to the tune of the sash . The standard is difficult to gauge but Stockport looked very organised and played some good football but tried to walk the ball into goal instead of shooting early. Walsall were terrible and even though they got a point their fans are not happy. Very good crowd, 8,802 with 1,252 of them away fans. Good value for money with a £20 ticket. An ex loanee to Dundee playing for Stockport.

Guest
Armadale Thistle 2-3 Livingston United Third time seeing Armadale this season and the first time for us at the new and improved Volly. Also the 2nd time seeing Livi and for the second time it was a cracker. Don't tell Chic Young how bouncy the new plastic pitch is or he may have an aneurism. Livi have a two nil lead and were pegged back and we lucky not to go behind. They miraculously retook the lead with about 10 to play and somehow held on.
