  1. If ever there was an insight into Raith Rovers injury woes, it’s a player breaking his foot after being hit with a ball. Give me strength.
  2. Don’t recall that, but he did have a great dive away to Dundee in the cup quarter final from which Laurie Ellis scored that header.
  3. You’re right, the scanner was good and rapid. Just the general organisation of the queue was piss poor. Having folk standing missing the start of the game - their own fault admittedly - whilst you’ve got about 6 turnstiles completely empty that you’re not allowed to use seems mad. I am absolutely holding my hands up saying we should’ve got there earlier. But using all the available turnstiles to get folk in is basic.
  4. Queue to get in was a bit of a nightmare, but a lot of it was our own fault. We turned up at 450pm and missed the first 25 minutes. My phone tells me I took this photo at 5:02pm. The turnstile on the other side of the main stairs was entirely empty. We tried to go through it about 5 past and got told we weren’t allowed, then a few minutes later they opened it and we all poured in. We should’ve turned up a lot earlier, but we spoke to folk that said they’d been there from about 425pm so it there was obviously an issue.
  5. What a fucking night, that was. I’ve been sick in the works toilet several times this morning due to my severe hangover and a 6am start, absolutely worth it. What a noise at the third. Incredible.
  6. Kai Fotheringham needs an operation on his ankle and is away back to Dundee Utd.
  7. That statement is unbelievable. To then close it with having a go at the fans is an absolute kick in the teeth. I can’t begin to describe how angry I’d be if we’d published that.
  8. Don’t agree what Armstrong wasn’t good for us, but do agree that he looks heavier. Maybe just one of those situations where only a certain manager can get the best out of him.
  9. Two full sentences and I’ve absolutely no idea if you mean he looked well or not.
  10. Dan Armstrong running in a dream at the third. Tumilty must be the fittest player in the league.
  11. Wasn’t getting much of a look in. 6th choice centre back when everyone is fit. Just don’t play him at right back, ffs.
  12. Well, I lifted my glasses case before I went to the game, then when I opened the case at my seat the glasses weren’t fucking in it, so my view of the game was generally terrible and I had almost no idea what was going on up the far end. Most stuff already been said, should’ve had Dunfermline buried in the first half, they are the worst side I’ve seen this season so it’s a bit of a riddy we let them back in in the second half. Draw probably about fair. Benedictus loses his man at the equaliser, really terrible defending. He has him at the edge of the box then just gets attracted to the ball and O’Hara runs off the back of him. He neither gets into a position to block the cross nor stays anywhere near the striker and it’s a fine finish first time. John’s McGlynn’s laser pen will be doing overtime with that today, you’d suspect.
  13. Spot on is generally, well, spot on with his information to be fair.
  14. Was that the push in the back over to the right of the box as we look from the south stand? That looked pretty blatant from our end tbf.
  15. Yep, that Berra miss is astounding. He is literally on the goal line.
  16. I completely forgot about that incident in the first half where it looked like Berra had a tap in on the line that eventually got cleared. McGlynn is saying in his interview that the video analysis shows that the ball is over the line. Be interested to see what happened in the highlights. What did it look like from the Thistle end?
  17. First time back to Starks since the Falkirk 1-1 game for me. Enjoyed it thoroughly, great atmosphere at times. Funny game, today. I thought we were pretty lucky to be 1-0 up, and exceptionally lucky to be 2-0 up, but ultimately deserved to be 3-0 up, then had the nerve jangling end, as seems to be our want. Zanatta excellent again, signing of the season for us. Strong and confident and a total handful for any Championship full back. Well and truly shut up both Ayr and Partick fans, as well as the many doubters within our own support. Benedictus obviously got two goals but he was solid defensively alongside Berra again. I’m keen to see a bit of Lang at some point but short of an injury to either Berra or Benedictus it’s hard to see him getting a look in. Like everyone else I wasn’t particularly enthused to see him stepping up to take the penalty but he’s confident and actually took it really well. Sheddon had shown his quality with the save from Tumilty a while before and he went the right way with the penalty so it speaks volumes for the quality of the strike that it still evaded him. A wee word on the officials - all three of them were shocking, but particularly the home side linesman and the referee. Rare to see so many simply incorrect decisions in one game. Thistle had two, for my money’s worth, good shouts for penalties turned down. The one where Sneddon fumbled the ball and then scooped it back from outside his area was utterly blatant, with the linesman standing looking right at it no more than 15 yards away. Ricky Foster losing the rag with Zanatta and getting in his face was enjoyable. He’s a right wee p***k. Actually don’t think the minor collapse is such a bad thing. Shows we can get through it even if it happens. Obviously, I’d rather it didn’t happen, but we may, and I hope that we have, exorcised some demons today. Win on Wednesday and we will be flying.
