  1. Not "doubling down", no: simply pointing out that you're wrong. We did (formerly) concede soft goals & lose points because we were defensively & tactically inept, and our "obviously outstanding keeper" has genuinely saved us from some absolute tankings. Don't think I've ever in my life encountered fans so unwilling to accept that their assessment of a player's abilities – based on seeing them at their absolute worst, literally twice a season – might not be quite as well-informed as that of people (fans, other players) who see a guy play numerous times over the course. So weird.
  2. "Here are a series of GIFs showing Calum Ferrie's catastrophic howlers against Morton at Cappielow; that'll definitely refute the argument that he only makes these catastrophic howlers against Morton at Cappielow. I am very smart."
  3. "Footballers are pure stupid hahaha and so are your fans lol" isn't even entry-level trolling.
  4. It's genuinely baffling to me just how fixated on the idea of Calum Ferrie being shite (some) Morton fans are. I mean, if someone else's keeper threw in goals twice a season at Hampden, even as he was lauded by his own fans and voted by his peers into the division's team of the year, I would probably just... accept he must be a good keeper, albeit one taken to routine, inexplicable brain-farts against us? As for the game... we were meh-to-pretty-poor in almost every conceivable way: second balls, simple passes, clearing our lines, all of it. We just looked to be playing under a pall of lethargy, all cotton-wool heads and leaden legs. It never really looked like Morton would have to be at anything close to their best in order to beat us, essentially just having to be competent & switched-on, particularly in terms of their pressing. That's arguably even more disappointing than losing to an unmarked header and a free kick, which appeared somehow to be properly shovelled into the roof of his net by [REDACTED]. Still, Cappielow's great and at least Caley Thistle lost.
  5. There was a single, brief, one-sentence mention of "issues with the stadium build and all that malarkey"(!) in a seemingly self-exculpatory context, i.e. she seemed to suggest she'd been responsible for setting us right on the matter, rather than costing the club a six-figure sum (which is my own, limited – and conceivably inaccurate – understanding of the situation). I've clipped the relevant section of the show, for anyone who's interested: Off the Ball - 24th Feb 2024 - Leeann Dempster.mp4
  6. Just heard that our esteemed ex-CEO is going to be on Off the Ball today...
  7. Found them: Fair's fair: these "tears and snotters" are technically pre-match; but imagine getting this huffy when people (not limited to Queen's fans) lightly rip the pish out of you for having asked, effectively, "Is there anywhere to park at Hampden?"
  8. Of all our honking-pattered match-threads this season, this might well be the absolute honking-est.
  9. Helpfully, only a genuine idiot wouldn't know the difference between being uneducated and being an idiot. You fucking idiot.
  10. He's been out injured since October(?), and was only back on the bench for the Morton game last month. (Also, in McKenna's absence, Ferrie's been our player of the month three times in a row.)
  11. Heard Callum Davidson mention he watched the Dunfermline game, and I just hope he hasn't been bamboozled by the BBC graphics department. Easy enough mistake to make, I suppose... And still, not to worry: it was updated the next time it appeared on screen, just before kick-off... ...oh.
  12. Davidson does have a pretty spectacular record when it comes to managing a team at a mostly-empty Hampden.
