  1. Unless they've broken the habits of about the last three or four decades for this game then "away end" tickets will be sold by the SSC, not direct from the Dutch. And they've not announced any sales details yet, so no.
  2. I'm aware of that and it's why P1 and the back seats in P2 are not available. It's not why P3 isn't available at the same time as P2 though.
  3. If it's a level with a qualified referee and he actually sees it then it should be! I get people moaning about how rules are interpreted these days but honestly that Gilmour challenge is a stonewall red card and would have been pre-VAR also. I thought Maguire was pretty fortunate but his was a good bit lower and on the top of the foot rather than above the ankle which appears to now be the guidance for red. Gilmour's is a definite red. Maguire's the debatable one.
  4. This. The idea that someone wanting a pair of seats with a child has to pick separate seats from about a dozen available in one section when you KNOW they haven't even opened the next section for sale yet is a complete nonsense. In hindsight I'm now thinking I should just have let it log me out and gone back in later but it was an hour to even get in and there's no guarantee that by the time you do the next section's not in the same boat. Like you say just put them all up for sale at the same time, or at least a wider selection than they do. I appreciate part of the reason it looks like there are only a dozen seats left is there are probably dozens in somebody else's cart at any given time. Hence why sometimes better seats reappear if they lapse their order or something. How on earth do people booking for groups of multiple people manage if I can't get two together? Do their options somehow change?
  5. Not impressed. An hour's wait to get in, at which point there's literally only about 20 seats left in the South Stand in P2 and I2 which are the only two areas for sale. To get two together the only option was right at the front. I picked them, then suddenly two decent ones towards the back came up so I picked them too. Then had four tickets in my cart. Couldn't work out how to delete only two of them, accidentally deleted one of the good ones, deleted them all to start again and couldn't get any of them again! Then asked it to pick the best seats, didn't realise you could pick the section so it put me in the North which I didn't want. Start again. Two seats in P2 please? No problem, two seats allocated in different fecking rows! You couldn't make this up. There's a whole stadium here they've not released for sale yet. I'm not taking my child to a game and having him sit a row away. Why can't I book P3 instead of one of a dozen seats left in P2? I was actually just going to let it lapse and try again later and got a warning saying I had 4 mins left then suddenly two together appears in row T which is lower than I'd like (potentially get wet if it rains) but I took them. Rubbish though. Edit - Main frustration is losing the decent pair I had in EE though and accept that's my own fault though it was far from clear how to delete individual seats from your cart.
  6. Pretty much where they do only sell them to be honest. We were parallel to the 6 yard box for the last campaign. If it's anything like that getting two together will be the problem. I'll find out in 52 secs apparently............
  7. Mine's just come up with a Timer now. 10 mins it says. I've been logged in since about 10:15 so if it's right it will be about an hour's wait just to get in. I'm looking for South Stand though so hopefully it's not the one most people are chasing.
  8. Good tip. I would have been too. Thanks. Still waiting patiently........
  9. Thanks folks. That explains it. I'm about 50% across now and no timer yet. Approaching half an hour sitting in this waiting room though.
  10. I'm not suggesting for a moment he'll actually get in, certainly not if Dykes, Adams and Shankland are all fit, but I'd imagine Oli McBurnie, still getting regular English Premiership game time, is a more likely call up than Oli Burke, Ryan Hardie or Tommy Conway at this stage. Fraser is a different type of attacker. I'm not sure he's much in the thoughts if we lose another forward, more if we lose Christie or Armstrong. Obviously Harvey Barnes is also potentially in this conversation at his own discretion. As I suppose is Elliott Anderson, though that's probably not happening now.
  11. Timer? I'm in a waiting room with a bar going across the screen which has now reached about 20% of the way across. There are no numbers or clocks running. How does everyone know how long their wait is? Is this a stage beyond the one I'm on? I didn't even try to log in till about 10:15 as I was busy with something at work before that.
  12. Why not hold it in your back garden and you'll not have to travel at all? The rest of us can watch over the hedge or something.
  13. It really does. The notion that we should take games to Aberdeen or Edinburgh for the sake of it when demand outstrips the size of any stadiums there (unless you're advocating Murrayfield) isn't one I'd agree with.
  14. Well I think what's happened is that the assistant has flagged it on as he's deemed the deflection to be a deliberate intent to play the ball by the Dunfermline player. He thinks Graham's offside but that the touch plays him on. Referee's then clarified it's not a deliberate attempt to play the ball and so Graham's then deemed offside. It's wrong because he wasn't offside in the first place (though it's not "miles on" as some are saying), he's onside by maybe a few inches by the looks of it, but I can see how they've got to it. Off the back of the controversial one first half and Thistle fans in the stadium thinking they've been robbed on Dunfermline's 2nd one it could become pretty toxic though. Especially now!
  15. I'd have Kevin Gallagher right up there with Miller to be honest though his peak was probably before "this century" to be fair. He was still playing for us into the early 2000's though. I never actually thought Naismith was terribly good for Scotland to be honest. His problem was the things he was good at, the better defenders could negate pretty easily. He was good in a Scottish context not internationally. Miller to an extent was the same but he was better at it and a better goalscorer too. Dykes isn't as good a footballer as either, and nowhere near the goalscorer but in the "big physical" role occupying centre backs and bringing others into play he has attributes that even the best struggle to deal with and when you have goalscoring midfielders playing off him it works well. Duncan Ferguson should have been the peak of that kind of player because he also could score goals but somehow it never worked for him in a Scotland shirt, perhaps because of the system, perhaps because we did seem to just launch balls at him when he was there in a way Clarke's teams don't really do at Dykes. Fletcher to an extent was in similar mold (and also a better goalscorer) but not quite as physical and he, like Ferguson, had his run ins with managers / authority that curtailed his contributions for his country. I'm not sure there's all that much between Dykes and Adams. Adams is certainly the better actual goalscorer despite Dykes actually having a marginally better scoring rate for Scotland. He's not as physical though. Dykes is as good as we have for the time being in the system Clarke uses which predominantly focuses goalscoring on the attacking midfielders. Adams and Shankland are both better goalscorers in their own right but they don't play the system as well.
  16. Controversial one there but maybe not daft in context. I'm related to him and I'm not sure I'd have gone that far! That said, when you think about it....... To an extent there's a chicken and egg situation as no other centre forward has had goalscoring Premiership standard midfielders like McTominay and McGinn playing behind them. Given we've had a dearth of decent strikers its also damning with faint praise (or tallest dwarf (c) @DiegoDiego). I assume Kenny Miller is one you'd put ahead? Who else? Naismith? Gallacher? I assume you have him ahead of the likes of Boyd and Fletcher? And that you're not counting the likes of Hutchison and McFadden as forwards?
  17. I got it to work ok. Requesting my son for Friends and Family this afternoon BEFORE his new account was set up didnt work though. Had to request again AFTER he'd confirmed his account to get it to work.
  18. In common with his club Lyndon certainly hasn't had a great season so far but prior to him signing his new contract in August there was certainly interest from bigger and better clubs than QPR, including from Vincent Kompany's Burnley and, allegedly anyway, Michael Beale's Rangers. Not sure who, if anyone, actually put in an offer for him but there was a bit of speculation. If QPR do end up going down I doubt he'll go with them, he'll get a move at that point, most likely within the Championship still. Dykes will never be a big scorer. 10 - 15 goals a season at best is about his return, but he brings more than that.
  19. Yeah same as @PSJ.84, I got that link sent immediately and have successfully reset my password to exactly what it was before! Re-adding friends and family is a damned pest though and the thing didn't work properly initially. I'd requested my son but his email is my own spare one on my home pc so I'll need to log on to that at home tonight and re-approve my own request!
  20. I'm not sure I agree with that. He made a ricket of Norway's 3rd certainly but as ugly as some of the other goals we lost were, I'd not put the rest of them directly on him. As I said further up, it's not like Liam Kelly's not been doing that and worse in Motherwell's team this season and McCrorie's barely kicked a ball. Clark's not made many errors for Hearts and right now his club manager has him ahead of Craig Gordon. I think Clark's pretty much certain to go now. If he gets another month in Hearts side then he can probably sit out the rest of the season and still go. I think he and Gunn are now a given. Kelly's place is the one under threat to Gordon if Clark's happy with the amount of football he plays. It will be interesting to see if he's back in the fold for the March friendlies and whether he takes 4 keepers for those. If Gordon's in and Kelly's not it's a pretty clear indication of where we're going with it. If Kelly's in and Gordon's not then Gordon's place is in real danger. Not sure I agree with that either. Shankland's link up play is excellent but Dykes is under-rated also. Dykes is much more physical though, obviously taller and a good set piece defender. There's obviously a discussion to be had between the three of them if Shankland keeps up his scoring rate and Adams is on form also but I don't see Shankland as a likely starter on his own up top in the Scotland formation as it stands. He's a sub, or a second striker partner for one of the other two in the unlikely event Clarks wants to play with two up though I think that's unlikely in the actual finals. I'm not really seeing Porteous as absolutely safe either though certainly accept he's likely to go. He's been in and out of a Watford side recently which isn't playing terribly well. That said, if McKenna plays out the season successfully at Copenhagen and Hanley proves his fitness and plays regularly at Norwich (where generally he's been in and out a bit so far as they ease him back in without over-committing him) then I'd be shocked if (injury allowing) all of them don't go. Souttar and Cooper will be outside looking in unfortunately.
  21. Well they obviously do it for the publicity / a bit of a laugh. These are proper businesses. There's not a chance in a million that they are giving the food order for a corporate event to some amateurs who haven't cooked or dealt with events before. If there was any genuine event they'd get genuine caterers. As such then, the "refund" or reduced price is inevitably just gesture stuff. The whole thing is a game show and has been since it stopped being a genuine 10 week job interview about a decade ago! The farce of not being able to phone the rest of your team to check things, or check the internet for product names in the sourcing task etc just underlines that. I love the buying task for the entertainment but conceptually it irritates me as it's such a redundant task. In real life it wouldn't happen. You'd google what the thing is and where to get one. It's just an excuse to send the teams away somewhere for a day or two. They didn't actually say he was going out that week, just confirmed that he wouldn't appear on You're Fired when he does go (though there's a clear implication that he's not winning). He happens to have gone last week but that's a coincidence.
  22. I'm hoping they'll drop to 6. With the Euros themselves now a pipe dream for us I'm hoping to take my son to Netherlands instead but he's on 6 points. Failing that we'll go to Portugal for the Gibraltar game. I'm assuming anyone who wants one will get one of those?
  23. Yes, please do dig out the actual quotes from coaches at United that contradict what the player himself has said? I'm interested. I don't think it's boring. The player himself has said it's a fallacy and never happened barring a couple of emergency situations. I'd be interested to hear if there are actual direct quotes from people involved that contradict it or if it's just internet hearsay. He says he can dig out quotes, let's see them. Well he does in literal isolation but I'm sure the first part actually means he was never considered to be a striker as his main role and merely covered it (twice apparently) in an emergency scenario where no strikers were available. If we line up as someone suggested above with Lewis Ferguson as the advanced player in front of the normal midfield line he's still "not a striker"
  24. Meh, Clark's got a season of games behind him and is clearly ahead of Kelly given he started both games in the last window. Since then Kelly's done the very opposite of Shankland in terms of club form. I dont disagree that if neither was starting games Clark's spot is more vulnerable than Gordon's but Clark HAS been starting games. I dont think we're far away at all from the point where Clark could not play the rest of the season and still get picked. Certainly while Kelly's making mistakes and McCrorie's not playibg either. Thats very different to taking a keeper who potentially has played 3 games in 18 months to the Euros. As said though, the fact neither Kelly or McCrorie is pressuring the place makes it more likely.
