  1. These irregular shafts of light touch, self deprecating humour sets you apart from your cohorts. Their apprentice efforts that offer but a singular dimension would be raised by a degree or two by learning from a master.
  2. This is the schtick Tarmo tried before he got himself way above his intellectual level and had to be expelled to save himself and us. It is indeed so tiresome and my mind drifts back to the skyline of 2014 when even posters of cerebral certainty wouldn't engage beyond generic pro union "I'm happy enough with what I have thank you very much". Thing is what we had as part of the union of countries is no more and it is incumbent upon any serious contributor to pitch up with their justifications. Anything less isn't worth engaging with.
  3. Fake news. Maybe the most fake news ever, they say that this is fantasy news
  4. I'd be surprised if everyone did and I'd guess that some infantile observers would take great offence in being challenged in terms of core beliefs.
  5. It is looking increasingly likely and given the hysterical and base smears that are skittered right across our beautiful discourse, it seems to me that a desperation is setting in within a certain cohort. Thanks goodness for the likes of Kate Forbes who has something about her that sums up a determined and sympathetic outlook that is to be admired.
  6. 2020 as a year has been risible but I take great solice in joyous repartee that restoreth my faith in the baby jesus
  7. Please refrain from using pejorative expressions that serve to stigmatize mental health issues
  8. The Thick of It thread for this pish. I fear that it is the end of the beginning for him and it won't be long until Johnston feels the hand of history grabbing him by the shoulder.
  9. "the searchlights of science have picked out our invisible enemy and give us the power to stop that enemy" Its all getting a bit silly.
  10. Kerevan comes across to me as significantly partisan via the portal of that piece. I'm not sure Nicola Sturgeon has the privileges to unilaterally suspend party members. He seems to advocate law breaking in terms of Peter Murrell's remuneration. After that I lost a bit of interest and only read to the end through politeness.
  11. Don't bet on it. and don't call me shirley.
  12. Oh but that would be the case but it's common knowledge that sometime within the next 30 (thirty) days N Sturgeon will be gone.
  13. there's got to be a joke in there somewhere
  14. Indeed, where in the world would one find out about such a painting?
  15. I'm ever so glad to wake to the news that the upcoming referendum will have a yes / no question rather than a multi choice based upon party proposals.
  16. I implore you not to be self conscious concerning bankrolling. Rather you should enjoy it whilst it lasts.
  17. After such a tough time, a great result for S Kettlewell and I'm delighted.
  18. A "significant business event" is not "every single meeting". If court proceedings hinged upon your pay award, I'm sure you could find out just when you were lucky enough to have it, very easily indeed and your appearance in the witness box would be as much as a success as your preparation allowed. Do you have a substantive point?
  19. I'm pretty sure I could track down any significant business event that I was involved with via over the last twenty years. Once things make it into that environment, unless you make a determined effort to remove and delete, they tend to stay put. Anyone who is any way busy will have an equivalent time management facility and even if you don't, for a professional person to go to court so spectacularly ill prepared is, at the least, surprising.
  20. I'm not entirely sure why the witness wouldn't have prepared adequately and referred to diaries or other contemporaneous documents that would render their evidence as unequivocal.
  21. When I think of Cantona I think of his sublime talent, his chest puffed out and his1996 cup final goal. I would contend that only those with but a passing acquaintance of the game would firstly recall a single disjoint. See Jimmy Johnstone. Most people where exactly? The assertion wasn't about an item on a recall list, it was about single No1 hit parade event. The BBC output from Glasgow didn't claim the "game", they specifically referenced the first goal and I'm not really sure* what mindset allowed them to think that was reasonable. *I can have a good guess
