  1. Mismanagement of our precious environment One prominent but alas backward looking poster, has the fanciful notion that our natural heritage is best left to those that inherit on a large scale. When even the Spectator agrees that they've made a royal mess, it really is time for staunchers to consider their position.
  2. I see and indeed feel the energy of G Cinnamon transmitting via my television. He certainly seems to have a talent that is undeserving of the opprobrium that I read. I recall the last century music press and how they railed against the "great American cheeseburger" (Tupelo, not Forfar) and advocated for Sigue Sigue Sputnik.
  3. I relaxed today with some light gardening and my apologies, I've been rather distracted. Have I missed anything of any substance?
  4. Looking back, some of the double entendre was good though
  5. That's as may be but in terms of most popular, she is sandwiched between Farage and Bercow with Swinson also hanging about. But hold on, you've sneaked in a qualifier. another version Nicola Sturgeon is the sixth most popular UK politician and the tenth most famous.
  6. Rachael Hamilton has just implored the Scottish Government to be both fleet of foot and to put their hand to the wheel. Setting aside the mangling of the wheel metaphor, unless your name starts with Fred and ends with Flintstone, how can you be running and driving at the same time?
  7. Aye, that will be item three on the agenda after the faked moon landing and Madeline hiding behind a grassy knoll
  8. We'll be required to disagree then. My recollection is of at least a once a game studs up launch at an opponent, the type redolent of an Inspector Clouseau scene. Looking back, I should have bet on it. Perhaps some did. A second ridiculous sending off was his dismissal in a Scotland B (they called it something fancy at the time) international in Inverness.
  9. Would you be confusing the wee nyaff for a well rounded professional? I recall no serious comment regarding and questioning his tidy ability but plenty about his reckless conduct.
  10. Sorry, pandarilla, I respect your paternal loyalty but I see no benefit in fussing over the prospect of a socialist or even left leaning administration in England any time soon. The left was rejected when Healey defeated Benn nearly forty years ago and I can see no change in the mood of the majority. Corbyn may have won Glastonbury but he lost Grimbsy and as he did he obviously spent too much time with Gaza on his mind. That others in his circle have similar studenty obsessions only serves to betray a spectacular lack of focus and that is a matter of regret for those of us who long for a coherent challenge to the roguery of the right.
  11. You could but you'd be wrong. Inaction during an election would have set fire to a narrative that, in the context of our reporting environment, would have derailed the campaign. I'd bet that Leonard and Corbyn would have referred the matter to an internal party mechanism and the impression of leadership by apparatchiks.
  12. You haven't thought this through have you? I suggest you flip your thinking to the positive and embrace the socialist construct that must shirley underpin us.
  13. Do you not think details matter when throwing around accusations of anti semitism? Yes I do. Do you not think interminable inquiries into racism point to a rotten and unelectable indulgence?
  14. When the detail of this is long forgotten, memory will tune into a chord of decisive leadership. Juxtapose this with everlasting inquiries into no marks such as Jim Dempster and racism. By comparison, Leonard and Corbyn are failures who are tainted by inaction.
  15. It's near Loch Teacuis in Morven. 1.6MW is the instantaneous power output and the BBC editorial team confused it with the annual and cumulative MWh value. My point being that if such sloppiness prevails, central management might be emboldened and carry out what they attempted before and get rid of what should be a valuable local resource.
  16. BBC radio from the highlands and islands yesterday reported on a new hydro scheme that will produce "1.6MWs per year". The service they provide at this instant in time might be safe but I fear for local public service broadcasting over a period of time.
  17. I'm not at all surprised by the local difficulty with technological solutions. My good friend Brian Mclaughlan mentioned the worry the club have and with an elderly and rural demographic, there are many that will be disenfranchised.
  18. He has already, he's been invited to manage next week in Sheffield but he can't do Wednesday
  19. I persisted with this wholly procedural event until they went into private session and given entering a private session with Alec Coke-Hamilton participating is not something that I could ever see me being interested in, I was glad to be excluded.
  20. I have documentary evidence that indicates that Wales will see a surge of immigration
