  1. It's so obvious that the hegemony that exists at Westminster could not exist in a smaller, clean slate Edinburgh environment.
  2. Trudeau trolling Trump in Paris by eschewing the shelter of an umbrella
  3. I don't have a pitchfork but I do have a passing knowledge of HR procedures. Summary dismissal isn't something that is easy to do and that's a good thing. Whilst accepting the depravity of the event, I wouldn't want to join the mailish mob.
  4. What we need is a link to a constitutional law expert
  5. Indeed. It must be a worrying time for all associated with Leicester. Imagine the turmoil that would be associated with losing the club kingpin and financier in such a fashion. Tragic.
  6. It's great to read that John Robertson has extended his contract and I agree that he's got the playing side of the club going in the right direction. He's pulled off a great trick, especially when one considers the complete shambles Cameron left behind. The fact that he's done so whilst competing against clubs with vastly inflated budgets is something for him and the players to be very proud of.
  7. No liberal or labour supporters on account of them being irrelevant
  8. The radio this morning described the sacked labour politicians as "moderate". This infers that others are somehow outlaws. In what regard is Jackie Baillie moderate? Is there a London left / right prism from which things are viewed? I've got my own views on the facts of the matter but I can't help but think that there is a paucity of performance prevalent at the BBC in Glasgow
  9. Winchester sounds good but is it safe to walk very late at night?
  10. He's just apologised to Amy Klobucher. Damage limitation. We agreed, prior to the break, that he appeared to be dominating and misogynistic.
  11. I know that Caley D has a login on here. Perhaps, since he feels so strongly about it, he should take the opportunity to explain his position. It's all about transparency.
  12. I felt quite drunk as I felt the joy of a dominant hour on Saturday and sober reflection such as it is (one's memory does dim) suggests that there is merit in your supposition. Fox may not have eyes in the back of his head but he did save all that he should have Fontaine dominated against an inexperienced centre forward The full backs were as agricultural as they were unsure Draper has rickets Vigurs is more flawed than he is genius Done Cowie Gardyne comes across as he always has done The others were excellent* *they were beige
  13. Forgive me, but I got bored during the first paragraph and gave up at "intimated". Spare us from shop stupid / people's front of Judea wind bags. One doesn't need to be sharp to see the grinding of an axe.
  14. I was late today. I was particularly disappointed in this regard as I'd hoped to take part in respectful rememberance of Alex Main. Was it a minute of silence or applause?
  15. Not really bias per se, rather their tired modus operandi. Mark Tully used to give us his quaint and colonial view on India and Jeremy Bowen assailed us with his sage snapshot appraisals on the middle east. No-marks now give us breathless daily updates on whatever line they are being fed. There is precious little that is memorable and they change nothing. What are they for?
  16. Married to the Duke of Westminster's sister. Rather establishment, what what
  17. With echoes of the black fish buccaneers, I see a British biligerance that is impossible to defend and the Honeybourne III seems to sum up a short sighted brexit selfishness that belongs to a bygone age.
  18. This is really dispiriting. I feel genuinely sad that this humourless bile exists in Scotland, in 2018.
  19. There was a cerebral chap on this morning (Scotland) and he was interviewed on the gender pay fiscal deficit gifted to Glasgow Council by history*. The interviewee was clever enough not to take the bait of agreeing with the interviewer that there is a scandal / crisis / morale at an all time low event. The disappointment in the studio was palpable when they realised that they were being deprived of their headline for the next top of the hour bulletin. There's bias and there is also formulaic tabloid journalism. I fear that, like hearing "so" at the start of a sentence, I can never unhear it. BBC Radio Scotland should set their sights higher than this daily churn. * Labour
