  1. Christie jnr is making great progress and a first international cap is not out of the question. This makes we wonder about snr and what might have been if Charlie hadn't chosen to waste his time in a pool that was shallow.
  2. I'm uneasy with anything that is jingoistic, it all seems a bit Putinistic to me. For my taste, the "our brave boys" construction is a concept that is as bankrupt as a bus worth £350 million. Mustn't grumble though, every dozen or so through the gates is a positive.
  3. "No deal" There's an urge for ounces and an imperative for inches.
  4. That's a cute post and I think the way you make your point benefits from it being in no way obtuse.
  5. You seem to be hanging with the same sort of language as that embraced by Michelle Mone (she thinks the Irish drive on the right) and if that is the cut of your jib, i can't support you.
  6. Separatists = subjective. This is a simple equation that is in the grasp of most
  7. It's been said that Sillars would start a fight in an empty room and as I've looked and listened over the last few decades, it certainly seems to me that through the ages he has made arguments that have been robust. But, there's always a but, there are reasons why he found himself sidelined in favour of Salmond. His comments today on Nicola Sturgeon speak of a needless recalcitrant nature that have obviously limited him.
  8. To be fair Sandy, in terms of employment law, i dont suppose we are entitled to know about the specifics of any disciplinary procedures. As far as Brian Sewell is concerned, i well remember his indignation when someone substituted "less" for "fewer". We certainly have fewer fans and some of those that are left have in their numbers some utter ragers. Potius hominibus detestabilus if you will. In the north stand there are several groups that regularly fulminate. One family made up of one gender and at least two generations are led by angry dad (think Harry Enfield's Angry Frank without the comic timing) wind themselves up and often climax with gems such as "are you going home on their bus". The regular cry is "oh Polworth", the boiling rage is expelled and the dolphins jump today just as they will tomorrow.
  9. A meltdown indeed and this kind of nonsense just does not happen within a structure that is coherent. Polworth should be subject to whatever the letter of the club's disciplinary policy dictates. The same should apply to Kellacher. The bigger picture has paint that is dry on the canvass and those that saw or see ICT as part of a land bank landscape need to move aside and allow the club strong and enthusiastic leadership.
  10. Saw her in Manchester, a cameo for the cameras, being all assertive and bounding up the steps. It was a shame but what the cameras caught were her breasts bouncing and she had the look of Neil Kinnock
  11. Thus far, she has pulled off the trick that she's not really part of the nasties. She is though and this "us against London" schtick will only wash with the hard of thinking.
  12. Watching these bullies bringing their brutish violence to western Europe makes me weep for the innocent and the injustice. There was state endorsed thuggery 33 years ago on this island and this screeching and amplified echo of that shame brings short term disgrace and lasting discord.
  13. How long do we have to wait for a journalist to expose the land banker power games that have stymied our club Uncle Royston delivers training pitches and infrastructure. Our mob delivers a pdf of our ground so we can make our way around it without the touchstone of our portakabin.
  14. I see the much maligned portakabin is gone. Would it be appropriate to suggest that it could find a home in central defence?
  15. I must say, I'm really rather disappointed by today's news. I was very keen to see McIntyre being given at least until the January window.
  16. Watched. Lacks a Bruce Willis or a Tommy Lee Jones. Will not watch again.
  17. Willie Miller said that if Rangers finish anywhere other than 2nd, it'll be a failure. This, of course, is not factually accurate.
  18. London will transfer all the powers Edinburgh already has and much more. (as measured on the clyde military vessel index)
  19. Oh dear. I was rather hoping it was more the case of rubbing the city team's nose in it but the above is compelling. I reject my good friend Sandy's assertion that it is a digital construct of fitness or flair, indeed it's my recollection that Barry Wilson came around to the fact that a higher level of fitness is an essential foundation to top level success. Perhaps in Draper's case and I suggest this on the evidence of last season, he was somehow below par. I'm not suggesting that he had chucked it, but perhaps he was of a negative mindset.
