  1. A win in the city and Uncle Roy is back on the airwaves. I've missed hearing from him these past few months. Its lovely that things have moved on from his outrageous "local players" comments and he really must be congratulated for funding the latest influx of incomers.
  2. This game may well be played under the floodlights early next year. I feel a spark of excitement already. If we do have an evening game, I'm told that there is a restaurant in Dingwall (no really) that purveys a delicious a pre-theatre menu, which I'm assured provides good value for the hungry traveller. I enjoy the concept of pre-theatre dining but I'm not altogether sure that there are any theatres in Dingwall. Will the arts ever darken the door of Dingwall?
  3. A voltage drop indicates to me that the load was just too great. I take no pleasure in being vindicated. I'm glad its sorted now though.
  4. I've noted that the kick off time on Saturday was midday or thereabouts. Do deficiencies in infrastructure in and around Victoria Park require games to be played in daylight?
  5. What a night tonight in the Strath. Its fifty years since Dingwall eschewed the Beatles in favour of the Melotones, but tonight a fab band did Ross-shire proud. The Pavilion was positively pulsating, it was just like the old days. Uncle Roy favours locals but I wonder if the way ahead is to look outward.
  6. The immediate messages above go some way to confirming what I already suspected to be true.
  7. Tut tut. I didn't trouble myself with any travelling on Sunday. My information is that Royston, given the overtures, acted very quickly with extra cash to secure Jnr's signature. Crucially, the small print in the contract allows for a departure in due course.
  8. I know some rurals struggle to walk and chew gum at the same time, but the cheer on Sunday provided proof positive, in fact its beyond the shadow of a doubt, that rurals most certainly take greater pride in the misfortune of the big City club than the relative success of their own.
  9. Poor old Uncle Roy and his damp patch. Has he managed to cure his wee waterworks problem?
  10. ^ secretly relieved that that the run of games (mostly in the 1st division and by dishing up eye bleeding football in the SPL) undefeated hasn't lasted until Inverness.
  11. Many thanks for that. I had an inkling that that was what you were getting at. Gormless, that's a good word. The Doctor's tweak of his bow tie as Amy and Rory were having their heart to heart was in equal measure touching and funny.
  12. Nope, I don't understand that at all. Thing is, it doesn't make any sense. Feel free to fully explain your original comment....
  13. Please feel free to fully explain. Is it the cringe?
  14. Ban him, ban him now, ban him from all of the nightclubs in Ross-shire.
  15. I'm ever so glad to report that Jnr was much more relaxed this evening. I think he mentioned that his player "won" the penalty. That decision and subsequent winning penalty goal must have soothed his frayed nerves. I do hope he will enjoy the rest of the weekend. I was rather perturbed at the notion of him being overwrought.
  16. Its interesting and not a little worrying that Jnr should continue to berate officials and opponents alike. Back in March 2010, he blamed a single decision, correct though it was as the tackle was dangerous, for a game loser. Bitterness followed as he and others realised that his team could not keep up with the eventual winners. In contrast to a claim by TJer that Jnr has mellowed, if anything he is bringing increasing embarrassment to Dingwall. Aberdeen resorted to "the long ball" (he who is without sin) and their grass was too long. Against Celtic, the referee outrageously added on three (THREE) minutes of injury time to deny his team a victory. Just what will next week bring?
