  1. oh dear "market diversification" in the context of precipitous drops in turnover and profit doesn't sound like optimism to me.
  2. It was misogynist drivel and you know it
  3. He shall not be told as we will continue to be told They have wearied of him, he'll be moving to cons from lib dems At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will ignore him
  4. P&J reports a Global spokesman admitting that these are "extremely difficult times" at Macgregor's company with hundreds of jobs being at risk. This cannot be good news for Ross County
  5. What in the name of the wee man is Scott Davie doing in broadcasting updates on games in England when he is supposed to be giving all of his energy in sharing the best of our Scottish game. Aberdeen v Inverness has nothing whatever to do with Burnley and I cringe for his and the BBC's complancency
  6. Uncle Royston wants out. Liam Byrne has signed: "I'm afraid there is no money"
  7. ^ Clearly having difficulty in visualising the future without the succour of ongoing subsistence. Don't fret, don'r furrow your brow, Inverness Caledonian Thistle has proven that it is indeed possible to stand on your own two feet as a senior football club without a reliance on being subsidised.
  8. I've invested a modest period of time to strip the article of all of its spin and it looks to me like Uncle Royston is responding to the major (coughs) correction of his business with a strategy that must cause a not inconsiderable level of concern to my many friends who follow Ross County.
  9. It's all to do with the bryophytes. It's imperative to preserve the bryophytes.
  10. Haven't a clue! But I do know that they don't need no nuclear
  11. You'd be less than lazy if you would do your own research. It will reveal that Germany is keeping the lights on whilst phasing out coal and lignite and ridding themselves of nuclear. As ever, the truth of it is more nuanced than they would have you believe.
  12. Nonsense. Germany are transitioning quite nicely thank you. They are using skill, technology and an openness that is quite foreign to Westminster. There is simply no need for nuclear.
  13. I've seen her ring. At first glance it seemed quite small, but it is as large as I would expect.
  14. Advocates bullying and thinks "teuchters" sound gormless. (not you, GD, no, not you, I'm referring to the man-child who I hope is refused fuel by a teuchter and runs out of fuel in Rannoch Moor)
  15. £10,000! That's a bullying amount of money. Probably says all about Scotland in Union director Alastair Cameron that I would wish to know.
  16. Oh for Foulkes sake, I don't begrudge this rare success, but I can't help feeling that they're doing it deliberately.
  17. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UwQfnqrO7l0 All forms of violence are abhorrent and I think all concerned should follow the lead of R. Foran per the attached piece of picture in motion. His insouciance amidst the bedlam caused by the home players and coach is a measure of the man. I haven't a clue who that County player is who was booked, but that kind of thing is bad. Down with that type of thing.
  18. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh, the cup final must have been a welcome distraction from his day to day business. Last I saw, Global's profits had halved and I think I recall a 20% slump in turnover with a commensurate shedding of jobs. I don't think anybody is suggesting that this is anywhere near a David Murray type situation but it must be a worry when Macgregor admits that their growth strategy has been halted. Good win though, well done.
  19. What is it with the rurals? Their very high tide mark and almost every other comment references Inverness. The high priest is Uncle Royston who just can't help himself, he again trotted out the utter nonsense that somehow County are a team for the whole of the north. It would've been almost ok, if he didn't mention the "I" word. What an embarrassing state of affairs almost as embarrassing as a chairman on the Hampden pitch milking the very udders out of his PR opportunity.
  20. Auntie reported today that David Hopkin has taken over from the sacked Allan Moore. She also passed on the news that Temba Bavuma has become the first black South African to "bowl a century".
