  1. Is it not the case that all football debts must be honoured these days? And players contracts fall into that category? As such the only option they had was to renegotiate the terms as opposed to getting rid of the players. Apologies if wrong
  2. now lets have a fifteen point penalty for the no show and a life ban for rankine for all the crimes he's committed. Such as his involvement in betting on football matches while involved with a club and having an interest in two clubs at the same time. Oh and his dress sense too obviously
  3. they were in breach of a rule relating to adminstration as you are fully aware. Apologies for not writing it out in full
  4. Why does this keep getting repeated? Other clubs weren't/aren't in administration. That's the whole point. There is no reason to doubt that they will not complete their schedule fixtures. Livi on the hand.... hence why the bond was asked for. To compensate for if you go t1 ts up AGAIN. Which may still happen if your appeal fails!
  5. In the local paper today it says Winters was invited for a trial with Airdrie late last week with a view to him being involved against Dundee. He lasted all of one day before going to Livi where he signed a contract. Full time. In Division 3. If their appeal doesn't work I don't think Livi will be coming out of admin. It has to be all eggs in one basket time over at Almondvale surely!? It's happening all over though isn't it. Livi signing players they can't afford! Meanwhile their ostrich support ignore warnings regarding the likes of bookie/property developer/worse dressed man in Scotland Neil Rankine and continue to moan at how unfair life is.
  6. The SPL are not the SFL though. Similarly the SFL will have nothing to do with the Hearts decision unless they are relegated. Livi are repeat offenders at administration and the majority of clubs feel the punishment is correct. The rules state they decide so I'm not entirely sure why you are so against the decision? Are we to believe it's just because you hate "injustices" or is there something else going on?
  7. I think you'll find we were quite happy being in division 2. That after all is the division our squad was signed to compete in. 37 year old part time pizza franchisers are not good enough for the 1st division!
  8. He must be. No East Fife? So Rankines "other" club voted against him? I doubt it.
  9. do you ever tire of making accusations that are sh1te? No doubt you'll just forget about this one too once you've been shouted down by numerous posters again
  10. Re your first paragraph, you are right. When the SFL Chief Executive said that Airdrie and Cowdenbeath would be promoted if Livingston went out of business I'm sure he meant something else entirely. As for your second para and the irony of Airdrie Utd talking about unpaid wages, insolvency and unfair advantage please elaborate. Airdrie Utd have always paid wages on time, have always been solvent and have been at a disadvantage given Livi were signing better players they couldn't afford or pay. As for Airdrieonians there debt was down to the white elephant that is a 10,000 all seater stadium. Quite how that gave us an unfair advantage I'm not sure given it actually resulted in us signing sh1tter players as we erm had no money. Simple really. You are aware though that the SFL in 2002 refused to allow Airdrie to do the exact thing that they said on Thursday Livingston could actually do?
  11. Ok it's been answered but I'll chip in. Do I have evidence? No. But I was told this by a reliable source and have absolutely no reason to doubt it (I didn't mean incidentally that the whole SFL formally approached them en masse). In any case if you can say "Not being able to prove that something did not happen does not therefore mean that it did", then I can say not being able to prove something happened doesn't mean it didn't. As for Bill Barr knew they were chancers and dealt with them accordingly, can I ask who "they" were? And how did he deal with them accordingly? By managing to negotiate himself into a position where he had to bankroll a club that wasn't his until the end of the season before getting f vck all of the money he was allegedly due and missing out on the stadium he lusted after. Well played Bill (and may he continue to p1ss and sh 1t himself involuntary for many years to come). Can I also say that I understand bankruptcy. It's strange you brought up the fact that Airdrie were due money left right and centre (you obviously feel strongly about that) yet were celebrating Livingston dodging paying their debt for a SECOND (possibly third?) time. Bit of a contradiction. You do make an interesting point about it's about the assets you have etc, given Livi have none, but regardless of all that if everyone is allowed to transfer league membership to a new company whilst liquidating the old then ANY amount of debt is serviceable. It becomes irrelevant and the SFL are setting a dangerous precedent. Finally, good shout regarding "your" and "you are". I made a mistake. I think you come out of it looking an even bigger tw@ t though, especially with the nice smiley face you’ve added. Nice touch. Ultimately I have no issue with Livi being saved – I didn’t actually want them to go out of business. I do have major issues with proposed rule changes that were not allowed to be considered for any other club however.
  12. Maybe if the league had bent over backwards to help Airdrie instead of suggesting (wink wink) on the steps of Hampden that we should buy Clydebank then John Hall would have got f all. Maybe if Bill Barr wasn't claiming mythical amounts of debt then John Hall would have got f all. And please note Airdrie went under for an amount far far less than EITHER of the Livingston administrations. You're KKK comments show you up to be an absolute retard but it's still ironic that you appear to be having a pop at franchises while rejoicing the saving of one.
  13. He'll agree to fund it until the end of the season if he needs to (giving the necessary guarrantees to the SFL). He will still have to strike a deal with the creditors though and he won't pay them in full because he doesn't have the money to do so!
  14. Tell that to the umpteen creditors screwed by Livi (again)
  15. Do you even know if the trust plans to start a new Livingston FC if it ends today? And whats your take on the accusations that they've "helped" the situation get to where it is? I can't believe how easily you are seduced by the word "trust".
  16. If that is allowed (and I say this as someone who wants them to survive) it would be an absolute scandal.
  17. I can't see anyway as to how the administrator can tell the SFL that Livingston can definitely fulfil it's fixtures. So at best I would imagine they'll be tipped into Division 3 tomorrow. The League has no option. Even if Massone had gone they couldn't guarrantee that any deals with other creditors would be done. The adminstrator is effectively doing now what he said he would and is laying people off etc. Tomorrow was always going to be THE big day regardless of what happened though. Gretna should have taught us that. Massone is clearly an Italian Walter Mitty though. I'm not entirely sure where the belief that the man will accept a deal comes from. He clearly sees the council, all other creditors and a large chunk of support as enemies. And I don't think he'd have any issues at all with killing the club. £25k is buttons to him in his make believe world and he seems to see himself as blameless. Everyone was saying a deal would be done today. It wasn't. What now? Another 50 posts of I have a feeling a deal will be done tomorrow (but again with nothing to back up why)? It's clear the league have been discussing this and have a plan. Tomorrow is effectively the first day they can put it into place.
  18. This is just part 1! Part 2 is tomorrow - can they guarantee to the SFL they can fulfil their fixtures this season (I presume not given it's all down to the outcome of the CVA), what punishment will they get etc. Part 3 is then the CVA itself.
  19. Maybe. I would be suprised if they (the Herald) weren't and I'm resigned to Division 2 certainly. They did have some guy from the league quoted though and he made the point they wouldn't be able to elect a new team to the league while stating Airdrie and Cowden would benefit. After signing the players we've signed I dread to think what would happen if we were to go back up by the way so I'm hoping you're right and it doesn't happen!!!
  20. Not according to the Sunday Herald today. 9 team Third Division. Once the league starts though there will be nothing they can do.
  21. Spot on. I think (and no doubt a Bankie will confirm for me) that they bid the asking price believing that they would be sold the club (as this was what they'd been led to believe). Ballantyne was aware of what they were bidding and topped it, albeit not by much. The rest is history as they say.
