  1. Mate, you’re taunting us for not being in the play offs. You got leathered. As a result you’re in the same league as us. Therefore who actually cares and what does it matter. And btw, if we’d made the play offs at your expense I’m sure the end result would have been the exact same. The play offs aren’t success when they end in abject failure.
  2. Think that was Hamilton?? Clyde played at Firhill then Douglas Park from memory, before Broadwood. Hamilton shared Cliftonhill and Firhill. Confusing stuff!!! Especially when you throw in we played at Broadwood!
  3. He made a selective viewpoint in the first place. But you’re right.
  4. I do remember that. I don’t think it was Trust related was it? You were anti ballantyne? Wrong anyway. Bams on both sides obviously. I get the point here though - it’s a worse scheme that is less inclusive. Freebies are great, but giving less freebies and excluding more kids than before is a bad thing.
  5. What a merry dance we’re on. It’s been publicised the Trust gave stock, the club accepted then apparently backtracked. Don’t know any more but I think with the lawyers. I imagine you knew that.
  6. How is it benefiting the fans? It’s a worse scheme that will benefit less kids!! Unless of course you are an absolute fan boy for B list Scottish actors playing football, then the charity game will be a delight. Aside from those two things the new club trust has done nothing. However, whatever you/we think of the Trust, it’s worth remembering what could go wrong and the role that a strong Trust can play. If you want examples there’s absolutely loads out there. Start with Hearts and Blackpool and move on from there. An in-house Trust is fundamentally flawed in its very design. Granted the clubs version is a Community Trust but it is targeting activities the Supporters Trust currently carry out, perhaps with the intention of driving them out of existence. It’s important an independent vehicle for fans views exists.
  7. Good point Stevie Wonder. However looking at it sensibly, it’s a worse scheme (u13’s only eligible with an adult season ticket), it’s the club raising money to hand to itself and it’s the new club Community Trust preventing the actual Trust from running a scheme they have done for years.
  8. Barr is a great signing IF he can stay fit (that always seems to be a concern). Wedderburn has never stood out. Don’t know much about Fordyce but suggestion on Queens thread is he’s a player - although not looked the same since being badly injured. Time will tell but good to see experience now being signed up.
  9. That’s Airdrie just announced Callum Fordyce. Any good? Cheers
  10. Wedderburn worth signing? Never overly impressed me to be honest when I’ve seen him.
  11. Completely agree. I was convinced play offs this season. Might be proven right yet, just at the wrong end. The first full time season rivals it for disappointment- but it was clear very early own the team wasn’t good enough.
  12. We’ve been bottom of this league previously so I think we’ve probably been worse. I don’t disagree on the striker front but we hardly make an array of chances. Creativity is as much an issue.
  13. Ignoring the fact what you have posted makes absolutely no sense, everybody - including you probably - was suggesting that Duffy might be top scorer in the league. To reinvent that you were sat at the start of the year ripping into the forwards for not being good enough is absolute nonsense.
  14. Very insightful. And there was me thinking a team called Airdrieonians are playing in this league. 12 words (and an inserted link) and you had to edit it.
  15. Cheers. Do you know why they stepped away from the previous (ridiculous) requirements? It’s a fairly sizeable change in approach. It passed me by at the time (not like top flight football will be bothering Airdrie anytime soon after all).
  16. I think this was discussed earlier, but did I read it’s just a bronze license that’s needed for the top flight. i.e. no actual seating requirements (at least 6k and all that crap) etc?
