  1. Seem to have noticed more and more people posting about how long they've been friends with somebody on Facebook.

Person A has been friends with Person B on Facebook for 6 years

You went to primary school together and have been friends for decades. Who cares how long you've been friends on a website?!

  2. Just caught up with season 4 (episodes 9/10 - f**k me they were good) - overall a good series although as others have said it seemed to dip towards the end.

Watched the first episode of season 5 - nothing exciting but I'm sure it'll build up as it always does!

  3. Here's my list with a memory of some grounds alongside -

    Scottish Premiership (7/12)

Aberdeen - used to work in a hospitality lounge here. First actual game was Aberdeen 0 v Dnipro 0

Dundee Utd - Dundee Utd v Newcastle in pre season. Can't mind the score at all.

    Hamilton

    Hearts

Motherwell - Gretna 3 v 1 Cowdenbeath - John O'Neill scored a 30 yard rocket to put us ahead before Yandivingb*****dtorno tore us apart.

    Partick Thistle

St. Johnstone - St Johnstone 3 v Cowdenbeath 0 - Paul Hartley broke one our players legs. First time I'd seen an injury that serious.

Still to visit: Celtic, Dundee, Inverness, Kilmarnock, Ross County

    Scottish Championship (9/10)

    Alloa

    Dumbarton

    Falkirk

    Hibernian - Celtic 3 v Whitehill Welfare 0

Livingston - lost every game I've been at

    Morton

    Queen of the South

Raith Rovers - Raith 1 - 3 Cowdenbeath. The good old days under Mixu

Rangers - Rangers 1 - 0 Cowdenbeath. Shite game, shite atmosphere, shite day.

    Still to visit: St. Mirren

    Scottish League One (10/10)

Airdrieonians - Airdrie 1 v 5 Cowdenbeath - 1-0 down after half an hour. Ran riot second half and could have scored 7 or 8.

    Albion Rovers

Ayr United - Ayr 0 v 4 Cowdenbeath - possibly my best every away day. Took the piss.

Brechin - Brechin 0 v 3 Cowdenbeath - promotion to the Championship with a large away support. Pitch invasion again.

Cowdenbeath - Cowdenbeath 2 v 1 Elgin - our first title in 67 years watched with my Dad.

    Dunfermline - Dunfermline 8 v 0 Clydebank

    Forfar

    Peterhead

    Stenhousemuir

Stranraer - Stranraer 1 v 6 Cowdenbeath. Sunday afternoon, 9 seconds gone and we're winning. Pat Clarke scored 5.

    Scottish League Two (8/10)

    Arbroath

    Berwick Rangers - Berwick 1 v 5 Cowdenbeath - Keith Wright scores 4

    East Fife

    East Stirlingshire

    Elgin City

    Montrose

Queen's Park - Scotland 1 v 0 Holland (had been there the week before for QP v Cowden as well)

    Stirling Albion

Still to visit: Annan Athletic & Clyde

So 34/42 of the senior teams just now.

    Non league -

Bo'ness - pre season friendly ended up winning 3-0

Brora - pre season friendly ended up winning 3-0

Cove Rangers - our youth team played Cove youths in the Scottish Cup. We won...er....3-0.

Crossgate Primrose - played here for my football team as a kid in a Cup final. (Consolation Cup for the 4 worst sides) We lost 1-0

    Hill of Beath

    Selkirk

    Vale of Leithen

    Others in Scotland -

    Hearts - Murrayfield (Hearts 0 v 1 Schalke)

Gretna - numerous times but was at the abandoned match after 18 minutes as the wind was blowing parts of the stand onto the pitch!

    Outwith Scotland -

Ashington - couple of pre season games

    Ballymena - Ballymena 2 v 2 Cowdenbeath

    Blackburn Rovers - Blackburn 1 v 1 Wigan

    Manchester United - Man Utd 7 v 1 Roma

    Wigan - Wigan 1 v 1 Everton

    Worthington - Worthingon 0 v Cowdenbeath 2 I think.

Probably been to a few other smaller grounds too but that's all I can think off just now.

  4. The Intern - Anne Hathaway and Robert De Niro star in this film about a retired man going back to work as a senior intern. Was surprised at how much I enjoyed this. Quite funny at times but also well acted - 6.5/10

Hotel Transylvania 2 - laughed a few times. Had a couple of hours to kill in town on Saturday (wild night) and this was the only film which fitted into my time frame. Had seen the trailer a few times and can say that the best bits were in the trailers. 4/10.

  5. Anybody else a fan of Impractical Jokers? Flicking through the channels last week and caught the end of an episode where the losers of the week were out in a street playing Strip High Five. Ask random people for a high five - if you don't get one then you take off an item of clothing. Sounds shit but was surprisingly funny.

Watched a couple more episodes since and some of the challenges are hilarious. Very childish I admit but it certainly appeals to my immature side.

  6. Gutted but he really had a stinking week. I've gotten every guess wrong so far but I'd be stunned if it's not Tamal, Nadiya and Ian in the final. Paul to go next along with Flora the week after.

God 2 posts above this I said Tamal would be gone soon

Finally after guessing incorrectly every episode I finally get it right! Felt you could have got rid of either Paul or Flora last night as neither have really excelled throughout the series. Flora always seems to be 3rd to 5th in most technicals and does well in 1/2 of the practicals. Paul is either bottom of the technical or in the top 2 while like Flora does well in 1/2 of the practicals.

Nadiya has come on leaps and bounds since the start. I hope Tamal or Flora wins it

  7. Saturday I was at a wedding just outside Peterhead. Many beers had, Cowden won and it was all on my birthday which made for a fantastic day.

The highlight though was the dinner. My girlfriend and I were at a table with 2 of our mates and a few rather rowdy Peterheadians. Beside me was a rather drunken girl who spent the first 20 minutes high fiving me anytime I answered one of her questions - "is that the menu?" "yes here you go" "HIGH FIVE".

Now how is this a reason to be cheerful? Well thankfully she was so drunk she didn't even make it to the speeches. Off she went to the toilets but she returned briefly about 20 minutes later before disappearing again. Turns out she was sick and away home.

By that point she had already ordered her food and not touched her wine. Thankfully her boyfriend kindly offered to go halfers with me on it all.

God bless that drunken woman. I hope her hangover wasn't too bad

  8. That guy running around fort william is a bit demented. Especially after watching the 2nd episode.

He's just nuts  You're on a programme about escaping a team of experienced hunters and he's having the time of his life laying traps and hiding in the bushes! Wouldn't be surprised if he escapes after the 28 days but just keeps on hiding out in the Scottish Highlands.

  9. WARNING EVERYBODY: New hackers on Facebook and what they write is aggression from you and it insulting. It's really nasty and it appears to come from you. You do not see it, but your friends do. One result of this can be that you will be deleted on your friends list.

I just want to say if you get something that is offensive, malicious, vulgar etc., it is ABSOLUTELY NOT from me! Copy this and let your friends know. If you get anything like this from me, please tell me and report it immediately to Facebook. Apparently it can come in messages too. PLEASE do NOT share. COPY AND PASTE.

God damn hackers coming on here and trying to make me lose friends on Facebook. Tempted to copy and paste and then send angry messages to the people who have already posted it. Perfect cover.

  10. Sat and watched the first episode of Channel 4's Hunted last night on 4OD. Basically people go on the run and a bunch of PI's try to find them. Was enjoying it until one of the runners started getting on my tits. Can't mind her name but twice she called home to check up on her kid without thinking it through or telling the girl she was running with.

One guy has made it from the South coast to Scotland while another couple kept getting local buses around basically the same area thinking there was no chance they'd be caught. They were caught in days

  11. From star baker to out on his arse in the space of a week.

Competition is really hotting up now.

Gutted but he really had a stinking week. I've gotten every guess wrong so far but I'd be stunned if it's not Tamal, Nadiya and Ian in the final. Paul to go next along with Flora the week after.

God 2 posts above this I said Tamal would be gone soon

  12. No Escape - Owen Wilson stars as an employee of a company called Cardiff who ends up in a rather sticky situation in Thailand. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the film - maybe being tired meant I didn't think too much about the story but it was a very tense film with a lot of action. The kids in the film annoyed me though - one getting upset about losing her teddy bear as an armed gang of nutters chase them through the hotel shooting everybody else around them

  13. Don't know where my last few posts have went but glad Alvin's finally been punted. Seems to be on the verge of tears every time he's spoken to and was needlessly apologetic when he fucked up, like Paul Hollywood's some sort of pseudo-god and he's going to be sacrificed.

Mat started off poorly but has really come onto a game. Ian's had a rough fortnight but he should be there until the end. Reckon it might be Nadiya's time to go next week if things don't improve - despite her star baker the week before, she's been relatively poor throughout.

In fairness though almost everybody has been shocking one week and then good the next. Tamal seems to do well on 1/3 tasks each week. Would imagine Nadiya, Paul and Tamal will go soon but I'd not be surprised to see Mat, Flora or Ian go next week!

  14. You do usually make profit though.

I think I may place the same bets but with a higher stake.

Basically do what I'm too scared to do  I highly recommend following Andy Robson Tips on Twitter. I'd say half those winners came from him.

  15. Continuing in the same form as above - small bets and trying to see how far I can build it up. Started with below a £5 and now worked my way up to just shy of £25 (bloody Iceland drawing with Kazakhstan knocked me down from £30.00).

Once again I continued with the small bets and have managed to go from £25.00 down to £16.00. For a little while I was almost empty in my account but have built it up again with some winners.

St Pauli v Duisberg - in play over 0.5

Mitos Novocherkassk v Ska Rostov Na Don - in play over 0.5

    AAB v Viborg - under 2.5 goals

Teplice U21 - bet on them in play as they were 2-0 up at half time. Odds of 1/2 seemed fantastic.

    Volendam Youth to win.

    New England Revolution to win.

    Schalke first team to score.

    Feyenoord first team to score.

Lech Poznan v some team with a mental name - over 0.5 goals.

All placed with small amounts. Of course the only other times I felt confident and put over a fiver on lost  Must stick to the original tactic and see how far I can turn the inital £5. Currently an £11 profit. #bigbucks #drinksareonme

  16. St Vincent - This was nice, good child actor, splendid turn from Bill Murray although i think his stroke sufferer impression was a bit OTT. Melissa McCarthy is really not that annoying at all when she plays it straight. Weird bit with Naomi Watts as a pregnant Russian stripper/prostitute with a hat of gold. Just nice, 7/10.

Watched this last night on Sky Go. Can't argue with anything you said there. The wee lad in it was superb as was Murray. Why oh why can't I ever win anything like they did at the bookies?
