  1. LM, the mess is part of the fun and also the learning! Strangely he got out the bath tonight saying he needed to do a poo on his potty, sat on it, farted and went back into bath!! First time in months he's looked at potty.
  2. Ruairidh has a total melt down if he doesn't get a nappy on straight away. I was talking to the nursery this morning about it as I'm a bit concerned as to how to move forward. They are suggesting pull ups but I really don't see the point in them He's really wants a Little Tikes Coupe Car, it's the only think I've known him to ask for toy wise so I've ordered one and may use it as bribery Reina, maybe Callum can teach him when we come and visit!
  3. I really think you need to ease off on the steroid injections though
  4. He's about 6 weeks isn't he? He's heavier than Niamh and she has three weeks on him!
  5. Niamh's out of 0-3 month hats! Her heads in the 75th percentile and rest of her 25th percentile She's doing grand now and we're getting lots of smiles, well when I say we, her big brother gets most of them! My toddler and I have come to an agreement on potty training. He'll get a 'bus' when he stops wearing nappies! A bus being the little tikes coupe car! Bribery and coruption is the way forward! We're off to my parents tomorrow for a week so will start when we get back. Not sure if we'll use potty or go straight to toilet, I'll see what he's comfortable with. Poor wee soul has molars coming through and he's in a fair bit of pain.
  6. By the time the spots come out they've had it a while so chances are Thomas will have spots in the next couple days. Not good timing.
  7. Had Niamh's 6-8wk check today with the GP and she's perfect, laid and smiled at her big brother while the doctor did her checks. She's grown 1.5cm and gained another 1lb so she's 9lb 15oz. Happily following the 25th percentile. Got some more gaviscon for her.
  8. I've found that Asda's Caramel Shortcake Mini Bites have been fantastic for my hormones. Not so good for my waistline!
  9. SD, how's Thomas now? Shuggie, you adjust to not so much sleep! We're getting 5 hours through the night now and normally she feeds and goes straight back down for another 3 to 4 hours. What makes it long though is that she has reflux so although she feeds and falls asleep we then have to sit with sleeping baby upright as if we lie her down too soon after feed she vomits! That's Niamh 7 weeks, passed so quickly! She's got her routine check at the GP on Thursday and I'm also going to have her weighed. Gaviscon has really helped the reflux so long as we keep her upright after her feed.
  10. Take care SD and I hope the wee man continues to improve. My little lady has another cold, she had one when she was about 2 weeks old and ended up in hospital. I'm taking her to the GP this morning as a precaution. Think it's probably steamed from the snotty nose Ruairidh has but him being that bit bigger that's all it's come to. He's off to nursery today, so long as they don't have a temp they say to send them. Joys of having kids, they pass it between themselves and you!
  11. I was on jog scotland the other day, before I got ill (became pretty agrophobic) and gained heaps of weight I ran a 1hr 10min 10k. So I'm going to go along to the jogscotland Mums and buggies on a wed morning, with the two of them in the tandem and once a bit fitter I'll go along to one of the evening ones. Way to unfit to join the night ones at moment. Goals: 1 hr 10k next May Loose 3 stone (prob need 4 in total)
  12. I believe the last time they were discussed on here you were in the minority! She loves being hung by her ankles
  13. I thought that but wondered if they're was more complicated reason
  14. Sorry to sound daft, but why jelly babies?
  15. Just read the Wiki article, intriguing.
  16. 8lb 15oz, growth 2cm in fortnight, smiling and peeing on health visitor 25th percentile for length and weight and 75th for head circumference! Hearing also fine.
  17. Heedtheba: all the best to you and your family, hope the wee one continues to improve. Niamh's got her 6 week Health visitor check, where the hell did 6 weeks go
  18. Doesn't seem like 4 years ago that you started! I would have also been finishing up if I hadn't gone and got pregnant with my oldest! Getting the paperwork organised to submit my past uni stuff to OU for credit transfer. Anyone else done anything with the Ou?
  19. I'm with Reina on this one. We waited until 6 months and did baby led with some purees too. A lady came up to me in a cafe today to tell me I had two beautiful children. Niamh doing much better, can't believe she's 5,5 weeks.
