  1. Adam, it's crap, I take a job where I finish at noon and the wee bugger decides to alter his routine and sleep all afternoon!
  2. Feel like crap, look like crap, think I'm going to cough myself into a hemorage, off sick so my salary will be crap at end of month. and I can't sleep. *end of moan*
  3. My wee one used to have an hour in the morning and afternoon but he's now taken to 3-4 hours in the afternoon, was a bit concerned but the HV said it's likely that he is growing and needs more sleep. He sleeps 8/8.30pm to between 7 and 8am.
  4. Me too! And in fairness to Ruairidh, if I was left in the room on my own with the ento I'd cry too!
  5. I have a crying child here at the moment but it's temper so he can get on with it!
  6. I have a chicken rogan josh style curry in mine at the moment. Can you lob rice in with it or will it go too starchy?
  7. And I feel as a mum uncomfortable leaving my child scream in the name of routine. genuine distress or otherwise. I didn't say he was wrong for doing that way, just offered my feelings on it. Different things work for different people.
  8. Sorry, but disagree. We co-sleep with our wee one, he's an independant and confident little boy who is in no way damanding or needy. I personally don't think it's right to leave a baby screaming just in the name of routine.
  9. I called them as well. Used to have customer on who had been in touch with them when I worked on the B&Q customer service line. Very helpful.
  10. I had a fight with Halfords yesterday over a fualty car seat which they wanted to send away for testing, the polystirene was slipping out the shell, then would only replace with the same model, which I certainly didn't want, which they presented not even in a box. According to the store manager that was all Halfords were willing to do. Call to customer servies where I did use the line "do I really need to call the Sunday Post and tell them that Halfords rate profit protection ahead of Child Safety" and an hour later I had a call back telling me to return to store (well it was my inlaws as I was home doing this by phone as said child is ill) and choose a model of same or greater value, but I had to make up difference.
  11. The wee one is meant to start Soccatots tomorrow but he has a horrible cough which I think may be croup. So he's going to miss it.
  12. My Irish stew is going to need finished on the hob as I've but too much liquid in it.
  13. I know, but appealing to the market her father was part of....he'd have been proud!
  14. I do agree with this gentleman. Excellent pakora too.
  15. Excuse me, I've had one since September............
  16. Debs, have you tried your curry recipie with thighs?
  17. We need to lift 80% of the grass and make it into a play area this spring and the other 20% we may lift and put rubber matting down. Even with increased dranage our garden is so wet all year round and with the dogs it just turns to bog.
  18. I got one in Asda for £7! Used it more when I was working full time but it is handy.
  19. Probably more than my dad who turned 59 got today!
  20. I know, I'm delighted for you and your wife that No 2 came with such ease Has she handed you that appointment she made for you with the man with the bricks yet?!
  21. nothing like snapping like a pair of jack russells at 3am with, well in your case, two screaming children! BTW, SD do you think your wife will ever let you near her again?! Bet she's hoping you don't win the leauge or such like this May!
  22. It's only a BAD habit if you view it as such Ruairidh will sleepy happily in his own bed for his naps and on his own at his Grandparents. LM-ignore theentomologist, he's just jealous that when he got stuck here due to the snow at Christmas I wouldn't let him co-sleep with Ruairidh, Al and I! He's a big lad after all.....I could hear him sobbing into the teddy bear of Ruairidh's which we had to lend him......... SD-I remembered after I posted that Thomas had the same birthday as my dad, but didn't edit my post! Mr X-good advice there.....although the on bit of advice from someone else I did listen too was from PB's very own Whistle Blower who told me, "not to hold anything said in the middle of the night against each other in the morning". Which I thought was good.
