The way I thought about doing my icebreaker was by just thinking; do the people I am talking to care about what I'm saying? (except teachers ect) No. Do I care what they think? No. Do I give a shit about anyone in the audience? No. And that got me through it. But, if you're doing it infront of just authority then this theory doesn't quite work.
