You’d like to think the club would have put out some sort of communication if Dundee had asked for permission to speak to Murray. Silence a bit deafening really. I’m in the Murray stay camp, I know things can change very quickly in football, but we really needed this pre-season to be as settled as possible now that the takeover has concluded and progress made already.

Two years wages for 6 months work is 100% worth it.

And surely if one of the other candidates is say, Robbie Neilson then it’s safe to say he would be higher up the pecking order than Murray….but obviously things like salary etc would maybe come into it.

Easton’s goal up at Cove for me. Excellent skill to dink it away from the defender and such a sweet hit on the volley. So much better on camera too after I was there in the flesh that day and the view was pish. Scott Brown POTY all day long. What a signing he’s been. As soon as I saw him in a Rovers jersey I knew we were onto a winner.

Watched Murray’s interview from last night. Still fully behind him being our manager. Understands the game well, acknowledges that it wasn’t good enough, acknowledges the supporters frustrations. Says how they’ve watched countless set pieces back, worked on man marking and zonal. But ultimately it’s up to the players to do their job when they cross the white line…he can’t do it for them. 100% correct. Talked about looking at next season already as well, saying we definitely need a bit more steel about us. Never mentioned a striker though, which slightly worried me.
