Nice playing with cards I wouldn’t normally use. I bought Dembele but I don’t really like him this year. Alaba moves to CDM in a 4231. But really not that fussed for him. Annoying because he was an expensive SBC to complete. Club captain and record goal scorer Raul having to sit out for now, but he may yet come back in for other weekends. Hate having Valverde and Werner on the bench also, but chem is just annoying this year and positions for players are annoying. Like why is Werner in form not a striker but his base card is? Just stupid shit like that. His in form should have like an extra position not one taken away. Silly.

Those discard in forms take ages to increase. But if you kept Werner, he’s currently about 17k so you would have made profit on him. Maddison however is yeah pretty much discard at 11.5k or so. I’ve not been on since Saturday night, as my wife gave birth to our baby boy that night. Hence why when I went home from hospital, I couldn’t sleep so played all 20 fut champs.

Scott Brown gives us that bite i midfield that we lacked under McGlynn. Aye he’ll fly in sometimes and get booked and stuff. But he won his fair share of duels yesterday, and as you say, keeps it simple but can definitely play a bit too. I said it a few times, but I’d have Matthews in for Easton. Frustrating for him again yesterday. His silly back pass almost cost us a goal, but luckily Anton Dowds was more or less a passenger for Thistle yesterday and couldn’t get to grips with the opportunity that was presented to him. Aw its the worst, but I persevered this year with it. The packs back aren’t too bad if you get to Elite. Which if you play a few games at world class is achievable. But I’ve been doing the squad foundation cards on the side and have all the Eredivisie and Liga Portugal ones done now. When there’s stuff like that to work towards it makes it a wee bit easier. On the cusp of division 5 now in rivals. I think I’ve lost 1 game. so qualified for champs play offs. First game Alaba caught out of position and I slide in. Red card. Like 10 in game minutes in. Went 2-0 down and backed out. Second game 4-1 rage quit with Araujo in for Alaba. So 3 more wins from 8 games. Should be able to get that…I think.

I got Mostovoi. With me having a La Liga/bundes hybrid it’s not so bad. He’s cheap. But then he’s untradeable so whether you get Toure or Al Jaber they are essentially worth zero coins. Didn’t use too many coins to get the pack anyway as it was cheap. Definitely spent less than what a tradeable Mostovoi is worth on the market.

Completed De Jong last night and Xavi Simons silver stars. My Eredivisie team is actually quite decent now having done the offline Eredivisie milestone players. I read it’s just 4 wins from 10 in qualifying for champs now? Is that right?

Oh I only did it like once. I was constantly 9 to 11 wins like yourself. I’ve not even played any weekend league on the new game yet, just about in division 6 for rivals (only played 13 matches and won 12) then just focussing on friendly objective cards and I’ve just finished the offline Eredivisie objective cards. So I’m going to try and complete De Jong and that silver star kid from PSV. Then do the other milestone Eredivisie striker throughout the year since it’s just a milestone objective. If Mbappe is rumoured for this weeks TOTW, better get my skates on and qualify for WL too. Haha.

Haha aye best i ever got in champs was 14 I think during TOTS last year. I’ve not got the minerals for that.

Who was it that got the assist for the goal last night? Aw yeah, Scott Brown. He’s been great this season, and put in another committed performance last night. Far from “honking” FFS. I’d like Ross Matthews back in the team though. Maybe he could start up at Inverness instead of Dylan Easton.

Wasn’t expecting much, but his stats are actually decent, minus the obvious pace issue. Hunter on him gives him a decent boost mind you. Hattrick and an assist on his debut, against some jobber in division 8 (I can’t be arsed with rivals at all ) winning 5-1. Those Icon SBCs have been decent for selling off my bronze rares. Selling at 400 a pop right now. Easy to make profit off the bronze packs.

So fucking stop start this season. Fucking annoying. Needs sorted.

Packed Lemar (and Schick) from Marquee matchups this week. Lemar worth about 87k which is not bad, but he does fit my team. Schick I’ll probably sell on. The packs for MM this week were terrible but I even got Mahrez in one of the other packs, so all round success.

Aye id probably sell anything that’s worth astronomical amounts of coins at this stage of the game. Especially if you weren’t like out to buy him or anything. I prefer to try and keep my full main team untradeable and then have funds for the odd player I want to try but I just like to build coins up to complete SBCs etc. Bronze packs this year have been good to me so far. I packed 6 of that Davidsen silver in form last week. Currently 3 TOTWs in bronze packs this week. Packed the Rios guy twice, adebayo (sp) once and the Chinese guy Zang something 4 times.

Finally able to upload my team. Pretty happy with it. Just starting online really. Been mostly grinding offline content for packs and stuff. Spent a bit of coin to finish Valverde so sitting on 405k. Packed Neuer in one of those new 80+ upgrades.

Yeah I managed to bag a 88 Marquez from the 25k Hero pack. In a panic I sold him for 55k as that’s what he had dropped to. Next thing I know he was up at 125k again But a free 25k not to be sniffed at I guess. meant I could complete Danjuma relatively easily. Still one section of Valverde to do as well. I’ll maybe try and post my team on the console, as screenshotting just makes the file too big on here still. Not sure how I could fix it…
