  1. Looking for someone to fit a satellite dish to an end terrace house in Cumbernauld some time next month, need one feed into the living room and a bedroom directly above. Would need to be alligned for SKY. Already have the receivers. Anyone on here do it? Just looking for rough prices.
  2. Some fairly distressing snaps from the "Soul Suite" in Wishaw.
  3. The "dross" being picked ahead of him, the likes of Stevie May, Rory Mckenzie and Callum Patterson, I would hazard a guess have already got about 200 first team appearances in senior football under their belt. Comes across as a petulant wee arsehole, a suposed talented player he may be but until he has proven it at senior level it counts for nothing in my eyes. Too many youngsters happy to stay at big clubs swanning around like they've made it. Having a kickabout once a week in an empty stadium where around half the players on show will never cut it in the professional leagues isn't comparable to a full blooded contest in the SPFL or lower leagues in england with promotion/relegation at stake. I've much more time for a player who has grafted away and got some expereience under his belt in competetive football than some lazy prima donna like Islam Feruz.
  4. "I'm just putting that out there." Slightly different, but used to work for a Ship management company with loads of arsehole ex-seafarers, emailed a guy to check something with him, he replied "Case resolved, please stand down". Has anyone else ever heard "Do the needful?", it was a staple of that company.
  5. A bit closer to home, but a young man has sadly succumbed to his injuries sustained in a crash at Knockhill on Sunday. Matt Polanski raced in the KMSC championship on a pre-injection R6, in the same class as a guy that myself and my dad regularly go to watch, whom he'd had many good battles at the sharp end with. These guys are all too aware of the dangers of the sport they love, but still very sad to see, especially when he leaves behind a wife and daughter. RIP Matt #80
  6. The word "gel" being used in relation to a football team. A few examples: "Will take time for the players to gel" "We haven't gelled as a team yet" Infuriating.
  7. Alright guys, Looking for a bit of advice really. Think I'm going to start playing golf, just casually with my dad and brother. I was in a car accident just over three years ago and injured my right arm badly, meant i had to have two plates and a pin in my arm. It means I'm not quite able to straighten my right arm completely, I'd say its maybe just over 5 degrees off completely straight. I can't rotate my wrist through the full range, I'd say I've lost about 15% of normal movement there when turning palm of my hand to face my body (I don't think this will be an issue?). Don't have any shoulder trouble or anything, injury was really to my elbow. I'm just wondering if anyone with a better knowledge of golf swing etc can advise how this will affect me and if anyone has any tips on how to best play around it? Not sure if anyone on here has maybe played with a similar injury. Cheers
  8. Glad to see Edinburgh make the playoffs, hoping to make the game this coming Sunday.
  9. Great win last night, picked up some good results over the last few weeks, hopefully Caps will manage to climb off the bottom of the league. Patry and Leinweber make all the difference, was a shame to see Senko get cut but that's the way it goes, hopefully means Portwood is returning to fitness.
  10. I've been to most of the Cap's home games this year, including last night. Only really got into hockey about 18 months ago, but gotten right into it over the last year. Edinburgh went down 3-2 to Sheffield last night and were very unlucky not to get something from the game, they were right in their faces from the start and played some good stuff. Thought the addition of Leinweber made a difference, got the assist on first goal and looked like he'll be a good addition. Referee was poor, gave Cap's Hay a 5 plus game penalty for "Kneeing" a Sheffield player in the centre of the ice, have to be honest it definitely didn't look like kneeing to me, a big hit but certainly no malice. Sheffield managed to score twice during this penalty and denied Cap's anything from the game. Have to say theres been a real contrast in performances from the team, they go from performances like those against Braehead, Fife, Cardiff and even last night, to completely inept displays. Hopefully Portwood can return sooner rather than later, also rumoured to be signing a defenceman from an Italian team with decent pedigree, if we can shore up the defence a wee bit and add some more depth to the attack I think the team can lift themselves off the bottom of the table, here's hoping... Anyone else been watching their team this year? I have to say in the 18 months I've been watching Hockey I've enjoyed it much more than my football. Good, friendly atmosphere, action-packed, commited play, games every week, keen pricing and no adverse weather in the arenas (Even if Murrayfield is baltic!). My team might be struggling, but I still enjoy my visits to games. An Edinburgh fan, but been to games at Braehead and Fife where my team havent been involved and enjoyed those too. Football clubs and many football fans could learn a lot from Ice Hockey in this country, teams like Braehead going from strength to strength whilst clubs in the SPL continue to have dwindling attendances.... very telling. only been along to two Motherwell games this season and felt pretty bored, robbed and treated like a dick watching a disinterested team go through the motions, Junior football and Hockey for me from now on!
  11. My hate for this fucker knows no bounds, absolute cretin. I remember when i was 16/17, worked part time in WHSmiths, he came in, I asked him, "Are you Craig Burley?" as he handed me a fiver for his bottle of juice and packet of crisps, "Aye some of the time" he replied in the c**tish manner you would expect of the man and left directly. About five minutes later he returned with his tail between his legs, "Sorry, got my change there pal?" Inside, I was crying with laughter as I asked my boss to open the till so that i could give the self modelled international superstar football commentator his three quid odd change.
  12. I know its been posted countless times but does anyone have the GIF of the "big house must stay open" guy for my enjoyment?
