All this chat, and nobody has mentioned the sozzled boy from Stenny hospitality going head first over the wall in front of the stand inside the first five minutes. I'm informed Pixellot failed to capture it, nobody happened to be filming at that point did they? We didn't speak on the stream for a good two or three minutes because I was struggling to breathe

Him and his pure beamer got huckled up the tunnel by a steward, and so far as I know he wasn't seen again.

Never got it on film, but it happened pretty much right in front of me. Guy came flying down the stairs, across the walkway and hit the wee gate at waist height. Made no attempt to use his arms at any point, so top half kept going, and he flipped over to alternative vertical (head down, feet up) like a WWE wrestler was slamming him. Ended up flat on his back on the outer part of the astro.

Certainly had had his money's worth in hospitality.

Crighton had no option but to stop Taylor as Blair had given the ball away.

Thought our goalkeeper should have done better with the free kick, he should have either held it or knocked it round the post as it was obvious the free kick was going to his left hand side of the goal, a step to his left would have made the save easier, am sure our goalie coach will have noticed that and work on it this week.

Will need to wait to see it, but I think Gray also contributed.

Hogarth lined his wall up with Gray at the end covering the post. Gray then was conscious of Taylor lurking around wider right, so stepped out to cover, leaving Hogarth's left post more open than should have been. I think, as I've said - will need to wait to see video to confirm if my memory is right.

Strangely, after Ryan Blair's dismissal in the 75th minute, Dumbarton began to exert pressure and we struggled to get up the park. We were pegged back and had to defend a series of corners. James Hilton shot tamely from the edge of the area and Sean Crighton headed wide from a set-piece, but we rode it out. The celebrations from the players as they left the pitch were fantastic and as a supporter, seeing them react in the same way react means so much.

I think Carlo Pigniatello moving into the middle of the park had a lot to do with this.

. I also thought there were worse challenges than Ryan Blair 2nd booking, which he didn't give cards for.

I was sitting in the stand near to where Blair's 2nd yellow happened.

Notwithstanding the fact that it was a cynical tackle that nearly always draws a yellow, Blair also gave the ref some verbals for blowing the whistle, thus repeating what he got the 1st half booking for.

  5. New player report, from my first time seeing them.

Newbury - excellent, handled a very tricky opponent today very well.

Lennon - not impressed. (Too) easily beaten a couple of times, lost possession too easily a few times too.

Kelly - pretty anonymous, never did anything notable until 2nd half

Healy - wish he'd started, did more in his short time on than Kelly had. Looked promising.

The first half today was a rotten spectacle and, until the double sub Naysmith made in bringing on Yates and Taylor for Rodden and Brown, I felt that Dumbarton were the better team and Ryan Blair was the best player on the park.

It was a completely different game when Yates and Taylor came on - we were more direct, played faster and it got another 10% out of every Stenny player.

I really can’t stress enough how much I love this team and group of players. The scenes at the end were just super.

That sequence of results today has, for me anyway, as good as secured our first ever league title. We’re 13 ahead (by giving Spartans 6 points for their 2 games in hand) with 13 to play, and I cannot see any other team putting a run together where they gain on average more than 1 point per match extra than us over the remaining 13 games.

Good summation. Only bit I'd slightly disagree with is that while not being bad , I didn't think Blair was outstanding either.

Last bit is spot on, even if Stenny contrive to lose every game from now until the end of the season  (which they won't) I can't see anyone else being consistent enough to take advantage.

I accidentally switched the wiper sensitivity thing in the car off today and the wipers just wouldn't go on. I had no idea it was possible to make the intermittent wiper more (or less) sensitive. I've only been driving that particular car for eight fucking years!

c***s on the Road thread for this pish 😉

Supermarkets seem to be rife with this. I was stacking shelves in my younger years and turned round to see my supervisor crouched down stacking soup on the bottom shelf. All perfectly normal, except the position the guy had taken revealed that his arse-crack and lower back were caked with dried shite.

A stand up, front to back wiper obvs.

Or a wrong-un, to use the shorter description.

Regarding the asylum angle, I think a lot of people who aren't Mail/Express reading frothers will be shocked that someone could be repeatedly rejected for asylum, be convicted of sex crimes and then after this be given asylum in the UK.

Because a priest vouched for him.

Priests, that bastion of upstanding human behaviour.

It'll never happen obviously but Uncle Faz probably suited better to a role in player recruitment and leave the management to someone competent.

His recruitment over the piece at both Stranraer and Dumbarton has been really excellent on the whole for this level.

    Nail, head, squarely hit.

First nice night in a wee while so went for a post work walk along the North shore in Troon, cracking sunset and still a fair bit of light in the sky when I got back home at 5.20. We are getting there.

Love Troon, my granny lived in Wemyss Cres then Welbeck Cres.  Many happy visits, beach, crazy golf, and then an ice cream drink in the Beach Cafe.
