Just for clarity the Irish flag thing really annoys me... The whole, it's our history thing s a lot of shit. That's great, big hand clap for the charity work back in the day, fly a flag on the roof of the ground. But filling the stadium, with Scottish folk flying another country's flag as some symbol ONLY to do with the origins of the club is a lot of shit. I'm old enough to remember mcnee's at Ellington toll, I knew the family that owned it. And the fact folk used to go about with tins on a match day in there, collecting for the IRA is fuckin disgusting.

I think across Scottish football, every club has a minority of people, you can't stand. The problem with rangers fans is that with them it's the majority. I have experienced rangers and Celtic fans winning the SPL. I worked in tesco metro on argyle street and had a couple of Celtic supporting mates. Celtic ad won the league that day under Jansen I think. And I went for a walk with them along to the barras at half 5. The atmosphere was great with the pubs filling out onto the streets, but when traffic went past every Celtic fan, to a man moved onto the pavement to let them through. One rangers fan braved the top deck of a 62 and the Celtic fans clapped him, no hate no abuse. I was introduced to a lot of them as a thistle fan and they all asked me about how we were getting on. I didn't need to buy a pint for the couple of hours I was on the area. Guys I'd never met saying, no way, you've come down wi yer mates and your not even a Celtic fan, don't dare get your wallet out. Quite a difference from the year before! I lived in lendel place in cessnock when rangers won 9 in a row. My dad had to drop me off at Harry ramsdens and I had to walk down paisley road west. Rangers fans ontop of bus shelters, jumping ontop of white vans, jumping on their roofs. Actually sitting in front of buses to stop them getting past with folk getting abused, on the bus. Beer bottles getting deliberately smashed on the road. It really was intimidating and built on an us and them mentality. I think as a rangers fan you are taught to have some sort of arrogance, even when both support travel to firhill the atmosphere around the ground is night and day. Rangers fans came with this shoulders back, get out my way, we're the people attitude. A lot of Celtic fans just come across as football fans who are lucky to have seen success with their team. Celtic fans hope for success, rangers fans expect it. That's how they come across to me, anyway.

A question I can't work out the answer to.., How could there have been such a massive difference in the financial operations of 2 similar football teams, with a similar sized stadium and similar sized crowds? In rangers and Celtic. It's a question that I keep asking myself, but can't work out. For nearly 25 years, rangers used different forms of financially assistance. They benefited from endless loans from the bank, endless loans from MIM. They benifited financially when all clubs were upgrading or rebuilding their stadia. Other clubs effectively gave money to MIM, which went to rangers to buy other teams best players. Then later they would benefit from tax dodging dual contracts. So in those 25 years, while all this was going on... How can it be that comparatively, success was shared with Celtic, yet Celtic are one of the most financially well run clubs you will find! I really can't understand, how the hell rangers could have spent so much more money than their closest rival, to basically, be on par with them? Which leads me to the future... People believe that The Rangers will compete with Celtic, as rangers did before, that what we saw over the last 25 years will return.., but how can it? The only way rangers could compete with Celtic was to financially cheat for 25 years... How can they possible compete in the future, without gross financial assistance? Or is it the case that they will compete, at a level we are seeing SPL teams compete this season? You know the way? It looks like it could be an even fight, a close run thing, but Celtic will probably edge it out of a pack of 4 or 5? Will the rangers, just be one of the pack of 5? That is.., if the survive, and if they are run properly.

Are the rangers, the only company in Europe talking about an Atlantic league? Incidentally, this Atlantic league, how do you get promoted to and relegated from it? Is it a closed shop? Forgive my ignorance it's just that I've not seen it discussed for years. I say discussed, what I mean is, since the last time minty was writing headlines for the record.

So how does that keep the wee fudge packer out the clink?

The nationality debate... The dual contract debate... And from the other thread, your claim that it's the Murray group who hold all blame if found guilty of the BTC... Is that enough to work on? Are the The Rangers fans deliberately playing dumb, to try and come out with some almighty.... A-HA... Which isn't going to happen.

Can't believe how long it took for masood's brother to pump roxy. That's usually how a new character gets their first scene.
