  1. Gonna just throw it out there and be controversial - He'd be shite for us. Classy player. Brilliant player. But if, for example, he signed next season (If all went well), he'd be 35. He's currently a 34 year old bit player for a mid table Championship side. Colin Cameron signed for us as a mid-table Championship 34 year old. Completely different style of players - but Adam would be more of a luxury than the wage he'd command IMO. Last season was the time for him to join - or never. Now, after I've said all this - I am also happy to be called a bloody mentalist as I'd gladly welcome back GGH.
  2. I know you're aiming high, but trying to think of a few half decent first divison LB's in that version: Eddie Malone (Unlikely to be top flight quality) Matt Lockwood? - He'll be down South, be interested in seeing how he was rated. Scott Morrison? There was a save where Paddy Boyle was very good at LB. Jason Talbot was another that used to be decently rated.
  3. Bob Harris not a quality player in that version?
  4. Second leg heroics! Still in Europe, just!
  5. That's an anomaly. Barry Smith signed on to be our youth coach and then signed for Brechin on loan. He played once in a pre-season friendly. So the last they both played first team football for us would've been 2001! Dreamy. Jocky as manager though?! (As I imagine Rae must be sacked as it'll be a Jan update hence Smith being at the club?)
  6. So, my season hasn't exactly gone to plan since my first update. I'm really struggling, and considering the quality I've brought in, I really shouldn't be. My January business was as follows: David Silva was a clear panic buy. Tierney has been a disappointment and constantly unfit - Digne has been top notch for me so far: Currently out of the FA Cup after a humilating loss to Brighton: But that was much better than the performance we put in against erm, Gillingham in the Carabao: And I'm currently hanging on for dear life in the Euro Cup having lost 2-0 in the away leg to Espanyol. Humiliating experience to strengthen the squad the way I have (I've surprisingly not spent a lot overall as I've brought in a huge amount through sales as well) and be sitting behind Brighton in the league. I'm looking forward to putting in a challenge next season - if I hang on to my job!:
  7. I'd be absolutely terrible at this as I'm a sucker for nostalgia. I'd be playing Rab Douglas in the goal till the day he retired etc.
  8. The quality of that is horrific but ever Dee needs to watch that and hope that Soutar had money on that because some of the goals a child would keep out. 4 of the worst goals I've ever seen. And whilst he can't be blamed for the 4th (It's a bullet header), if he saved it, people wouldn't exactly be saying it was the save of the season either. Nightmarish. Always liked Leishman but he was OFTW when he started his football poetry. We lost - but Geddes stopped it from being a hiding. Pulled off a few cracking saves. One in the top corner being particularly impressive. Season was done so I never went always gutted to have only watched highlights of the game on DeeTV. That was the season Inverness caught us, why were you annoyed? He's a person I wish we had rules like American football because his dead ball skills are exemplary and puts our players to shame in the warm up. @Day of the Lords was he not a pretty rubbish kicker from goal kicks back in the day? Why was Ruitenbeek dropped?
  9. I remember Marco Ruitenbeek being a good keeper for Dunfermline but Wikipedia suggests he was dropped for Derek Stillie.
  10. Never forget the time Lee Robinson went on a Fifa style mazy deep into our half whilst playing QotS at home. Our team just kept backing off, and off and off. Mugged us right off.
  11. That article is a lot of rubbish. Basically, Malpas got a phone call from a top flight manager to ask about McPake and he said he was finished, he can't train at all and to not sign him basically. The manager phoned McPake (Who had been fit for the past month) and told him this.
  12. Geddes put in a top performance for us against Raith away back in 2010 at the grand old age of 49.
  13. Received a parking ticket about 3 year ago. Had the usual threatening letters and they finally stopped after 18 month or so. Today I received a letter from BW Legal wanting £160. Is this still file in the bin stuff?
  14. Graham Norton is inherently better than any other talk show host because he gets them rat-arsed to the point they feel comfortable. They also are paired in groups unlike most talk shows which will no doubt help them relax. The other main British talk show hosts these days are Jonathan Ross - Whom guests are clearly only on to plug something then f**k off and Alan Carr who tries the same thing with guests of getting them steaming but is 'too British' in humour so guests can't relax. Sure quite a few American stars have said Norton is the best there is. Even American websites rank him as the best: https://screenrant.com/best-talk-show-hosts-us-uk/
  15. I love The Deer Hunter - but I prefer the Revels adverts that were based on it.
  16. Then they are fucking morons. We can appreciate that some people think the SNP want to break up the island and that's a bad thing, I disagree with it, but for the older generation I can at least get my head round it. Labour are an irrelevance. They'd be a disaster - and they just scream incompetence so again I can understand why people don't vote for them. Still doesn't make me understand why people think the most evil c***s in the land are electable though. I'd much prefer genuine incompetence or someone I profoundly disagree with coming into power than someone that's blatantly an evil b*****d. Yet, a sizeable minority in Scotland still believe they are the way ahead.
  17. I like Stephen Dobbie, and he probably would get a game for St Johnstone if he were so inclined these days. Is it a hill worth dying on and making a total arse of yourself for though? Grim stuff from @Doonhamer 1969 as St Johnstone fans are running rings round him.
  18. I think everyone can agree that what should be at the forefront of this discussion is bringing back the Tennents' Sixes.
  19. Watching when Finkel introduced Punk and got a 'moment' from the crowd. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler shitting all over him and undoubtedly ruining a poignant moment for a man that never really had any. Horrific to watch as you see how much it means to Fink to get some deserved adulation.
  20. Ally McCoist is one of the best co-commentators out there. At the 2018 WC, the match was made when he was on commentary.
  21. He's been dropped since Berra came in. That's the second reason why our defence has improved!
  22. Because there's a weird demand for useless haddies in Scottish football? Scottish football teams love a hold up man with little ability.
