Just looked up Hopkins on wikipedia - guys 78 now! I imagine this will have a bearing on how long they make the show. I know its morbid but I don't see him still being in this for long. They could always write him out I suppose. "Fords gone on holiday" or something like that, never to be heard of again. Like they do in Neighbours and Home and Away.

Another good episode , Hopkins is a fantastic actor, hes far to good to be in a programme like this. The bit with the horse and the explosion was hilarious , Not sure if it was supposed to be but I laughed at that bit. 2nd season? not sure how I feel about that.... Its so good right now , the only way might be down.

I thought it was a good episode , at least compared to lasts weeks which was total garbage. I wonder how long they will keep making this for?- I think the comic book is still getting made - so I suppose they have the material to make plenty more. I hope they dont - it would be better if they wrapped it up in the next couple of years before it becomes utter shit. Its already a bit shit these days , its a bit like watching Emmerdale sometimes.

Paul Robinson is also still there , although his limp has mysteriously gone - mind he got his leg chopped off? I didn't recognise anyone else. It said on the trailer its the 30th anniversary soon ( maybe this week or next?) . Its about time it was canned , its well passed its sell by date, Utter dross. Sad as I loved this show when I was a kid and even more so when I was a student. My favourite characters in the past 30 years - Doctor Karl.Top tottie from past 30 years - Annalise,There was a bizarre story line where she was were shagging Lou carpenter for a bit. edited to add in some incredible acting . skip to 1.08 .. Carol - pointless character that needs killed off.The sooner the better . Why didnt she just get up and leave in the lat episode , she wasn't there under duress.Makes no sense.Also - why has she suddenly decided she cant kill people anymore, She spent 6 seasons killing people willy nilly and now cant do it for no particular reason at all.Her face is also annoying. She needs killed pronto.

Haven't felt so disappointed since Adamzcuk left first time round. Hate to join in the doom merchants , but I have a very bad feeling about this season. Still cant believe he picked Oxford! - apart from Morse , there is nothing good about the place and they have a shite team. Such a shit decision to join them , could have his pick of league one teams to play for and probably is good enough to play in the Championship. If Stewart leaves too , and with Harkins going - we are going to be short of so many assists and goals. Can see Hartley walking, which would be a disaster. I hate being a Dundee fan.
