Good draw for the Brox in the big cup 🇵🇱🇵🇱🇵🇱.  Wonder if fans will be allowed in?

All going well, D&G will hopefully be down to Tier 1 come the 12th December.

If so, we will be looking to how we can ensure fans can attend the match; likely need to make arrangements ahead of the game to ensure only those meant to be there can/should.

  2. With a number of West teams unable to play for various reasons, I'd like to note that Newton Stewart FC are on the hunt for a new manager.

The role may be of interest to someone not in a position this season or looking for their first stab at management.

A Current C license is required ideally, or someone who is on the road to obtaining one.

    Ps. Here's our equaliser today;

  3. From the south looking in, and given we travel similar if not further distances this is all money driven.

I get these clubs play players handsomely but the purpose of the game and premise is not money. We are all having to comply with covid rules and its a get out.  The clubs if unable to play or unwilling should drop down graciously and let those who are of a suitable standard (professionally/ health based) prosper.

Our budget this season has already gone on Health and safety and player welfare.  More important than funding a cup

Clearly stated when asked - multiple times - that our sources were not from any of the leagues.

So puts that one to bed.

Edit - Also made it clear that it was not official.

Made up and been made to look like eejits

Bo'ness have already been assessed, as have 5 other clubs, all of whom passed the entry level licence criteria and were approved by the licence committee at the February licence board meeting.

All were supposed to be ratified by the SFA at their April meeting, but the SFA decided to postpone that, saying it "should" be done for/at their AGM.

There's nothing left for Bo'ness (or the other applicants) to do, having been confirmed they meet all criteria, than wait for the SFA to rubber stamp it or not.

Whether that happens, given the goings on in Scottish football, is anyone's guess. But the clubs and licence committee have all already done their bits.

Thanks for clarifying.  In that case then there should be no issues with them going up surely?

A lot of new scenarios requiring detailed once this mess is over to ensure this works better if such scenario ever presents itself again.

As a very bitter Broxburn fan (or so I’ve been called) I think it’s unacceptable for the LL to not accept Bo’ness into their league for next season.

Their licence is all but rubber stamped, they won the EoS Premier and the SOS champions are not licensed.

I know there is a possibility that Kelty will not get the chance to go up but that should not affect BU and don’t want another fiasco like last year.

Are they going for a License above Entry?

From my own conversations, no Entry Level licenses are currently being assessed until later on in the year for us currently Entry Holders so they may not have a license in time for any potential restart?

Who gets place in  Scottish Cup  ? .

Only the winners would have received the place, and it was between Stranraer and Threave; both teams already receive a place in the SC.

The only potential negative to it is that Threave (IF they won the league) won't get the opportunity to contest any Play Off for the LL.

Sensible decision , far too many games too go for PPG in my opinion. There would’ve been many twists and turns , not all guaranteed wins the front runners would’ve assumed , a fair result

    Totally agreed.

Why is anyone even bothered about this association. Bit desperate trying to lure in teams with a begging social media call to come join us. Stick them where they should be bottom tier of pyramid and let them enjoy the football at that level.

What a very angry little man.

Think too much is being read into it. The league has just taken on a new social media person. There's sod all to talk about at the moment so why not put out that the deadline is today? In the past there has quite often been discussion on here about when the deadline is, when's the AGM etc so there's no harm doing it.

And given Caley Braves have a reserve team in the league there wasn't a great issue with mentioning there are clubs from Glasgow either - it's not quite accurate but it's not exactly a million miles away either. If they were really appealing for new members they'd surely have mentioned Ayrshire in the tweet - especially as Bonnyton have played in the league for the last few years.

It could be quite interesting to see if there are any deserters from the WoSL setup.  Already a few rumours out there.

Only under exceptional circumstances should the sosfl lose it place at tier 6. Amalgamation with the wosfl seems to be the go to for everyone when it doesn't make a difference at all.

Unless the sosfl loses 5 or 6 clubs it should remain. If the champion gets licensed, wins the league and gets promoted then they deserve it.

It poses an issue that if there is an amalgamation of SoS and WoS then the SoS Clubs should not lose T6 status..
