    There is no way England will enforce the follow on. Plan must be to get this last wicket asap, score 300+ and still have plenty of time to bowl out the Aussies.

    That's the thing... England have Anderson apart bowled dreadfully. One Broad spell maybe as well.

    Cant see that being the case throughout.

    Finn must be dropped. His confidence is shot. Can you imagine how much more control would have been exerted by the likes of Bresnan or Onions? I'd expect Bresnan to come in for the next test, although Lords would suit Finn if only he could bowl a decent line and length.

    Got a feeling the umps are going to give every 50/50 to Australia as they don't have any challenges left. Would be pretty sickening if it was a bad umpire call and Australia couldn't challenge it that won this match.

    It would be just as ironic if it ends up being an appalling decision by Erasmus that decides it.

    There was an interesting debate on the radio the other day about whether Anderson was England's best ever bowler. Attracted a bit of ire from the Trumanites, but when you look at it, he's definitely got a shout...

    I missed the debate but can imagine what was said. Truman was quicker, had a better average and a superior strike-rate. Just very different bowlers but both very effective. Anderson is a most skillful operator and is absolutely crucial to England.

    That certainly wasn't as clear cut a mistake as the Broad dismissal.  The worst decision for England was Trott being given out in the second innings, that was a tad on the harsh side.

    All three were shocking errors. In a way, Erasmus made the bigger howlers as he had time to use the technology and make considered decisions.

    I have serious man love for Jimmy Anderson.

    I think it's time for a massive Haddin counter-attack. No point in just scratching around as Siddle and Pattinson will find scoring tough unless they hang around for a while.

    The new ball is flying off Haddin's bat. This is Australia's chance and now Agar is cashing in as well. Crucial stage of the match and Cook on the defensive. Aussies must fancy their chances with plenty of batting still to come.

    Almost too nervous to watch. With every run scored, the more convinced I am that Australia will win this test match. In a way it is probably better for the series if they do as England are the better side. Fair play to the Aussies for digging in and giving themselves an opportunity.
