    IRON EAGLE I watched this on the telly last night. I loved it as a kid but this was the first time I'd seen it for 20 years. Totally naff and stupid but still entertaining 6/10.

    I saw the Alabama 3 in Fatties last night. A great gig. I was a bit surprised by the crowd though. I'm in my mid 30s and I was about the youngest person there. It was all ageing goths and hippies. I didn't realise that they attract that kind of crowd.

    Flesh & Blood. Mid '80s Rutger Hauer flick set in medieval times. The story line is garbage but there's enough nudity and violence to stop it from being too boring. 5/10

    Beerfest. A comedy about a bunch of americans training for a drinking contest against bavaria's finest boozers. Patchy. Hilarious in places, laboured in others. 6/10

    Intimate Enemies Powerful French film about the conflict in Algeria. Beautifully filmed with some pretty shocking violence and a few moments of real suspense. 9/10
