My boys at Edinburgh College starting off on his senior football career so Nitten, my team are getting a back seat these days.

As far as Edinburgh College is concerned, this is a massive learning curve for them. Having known about most of the established teams in this league I knew they were up against it but the youngsters are putting up a fight. To be quite honest Whitburn with their vast experience missed quite a few chances on Saturday. EC will no doubt benefit from playing these teams over the season and with obviously improve their squad with experienced players. Good league indeed, probably better than the other 2 x 1st divisions.

Its a good set up at the College with all the backing staff like physios etc from the college. The squad is not exclusively students but a few are ex students. It being run as any normal football club with open doors but with added bonus of the experienced College staff. Their philosophy is play the passing game but as we all know it may well not win games but I suppose it better than humping it.

Its the London Road Foundry Bowling Club, a foundry (Miller & Co) who were based in london Road, Abbeyhill., but probably due to lack of space to built a bowling green in the area, probably had to relocate the club to the Porty area. Hillside BC never had London Road in its address, Brunton Place.

Edinburgh College will take a few games to find their feet. They are a very young unexperienced side at this level, basically a bunch of strangers still working out how to play alongside each other with hardly a pre season together. Go luck for the season ahead boys.

Think the College will be on the astro pitch next to Heriot's.

What Upper Annandale will play in the East, they play at Benburb's ground in Glasgow, what sense does that make?

Heard rumours Leith Athletic were putting a team together.

Do you mean form an U16 & U18 development leagues?

Astro, should be on unless because of other factors, free last season.

No suprise from me on the result. Uppers are a well organised Glasgow based team, who were Queen of the South Colts last season with some experienced players.

Message sums up Friday nights game exactly ,great set up at Blackburn, first time back for many a year, well done.

Lights must have been given the ok from the Estonian F.A, lol.
