  1. Well, she's the one who said ( in her documentary ), that Boris just needs to be loved. I mean, fairs, fair... a few BJ's are one thing......, but you'd think, in her work, she'd show some journalistic integrity.
  2. They know the game's up. Boris is yesterday's man. As will be the rest of them in a few months time.
  3. Penalties or no penalties, this looked an absolute shambles. Maybe some kind of explanation due from the manager. Either these guys weren't playing for the shirt, or the set up was just wrong ?
  4. And your point is ? I just wondered.... Given that your views as expressed on here are mostly supportive of the power of centralised government, ie power flows downwards. .., Russia etc, I just wondered if that colours your question ? Or is it that a funder of the action before the Scottish judges was a corporate..., Ecotricity, I think ?
  5. Yurgh. I think I could have done without seeing that.
  6. Couple of days ago, in my car, a piece came up on BBC R4, that was part of an interview with Anthony Scaramucci , Trumps former director of communications. Scaramuchi said that the people who followed Trump were those whose opinions of polticians was that you knew when politicans were lying, because you could see their lips moving. Lying is what they expect. And Trump just feeds their prejudices back to them. Ditto Johnson, it seems.
  7. From the toilets at a very expensive corporate training establishment that I attended years ago. "....If you feel the bottom has fallen out of your world Have a pint of Watneys And feel the world falling out of your bottom..... ".
  8. Well, off you go then, in your little bubble of delusion.
  9. I don't do Twiiter, nor hardly Facebook. All you have to do, actually, is to read the more respected end of the mainstream media, yes....... read between the lines of polite phrasing and see what has been happening. Or rather, hasn't.
  10. Oh please. Grow a brain. There have been no negotiations. The only component of a negotiaition that has taken place was some junior knobhead taking a flight out to mainland Europe. Then coming back again.
  11. Sometimes you just can't beat an old favourite.
  12. Not answering the question asked is called being a politician. It's what they do. Looks like all your "..show me..." blather on indyref2 thread has chuntered your brain.
  13. Unless , of course, somewhere in the overall scenario there is the Cunning Plan ...... I seem to recall seeing somewhere today, that someone asked MIchael Gove something like.... "If you knew then what you know now.., would you vote for Thersa May's deal...?". Gove replied... "Yes..". Sorry, I've misquoted. I think in that interchange Gove was meaning... "After this is over, and Boris is gone, I'm the man to bring the party together.." Ever the backstabber.
  14. The good thing is that they are showing everyone who they really are, the masks are off.
  15. Ruth Davidson (@RuthDavidsonMSP) How, in the name of all that is good and holy, is there no longer room in the Conservative Party for @NSoames? #anofficerandagentleman September 4, 2019 Not sure... that joining the army on a short service commission ( 3 years, as I recall ), spending most of your time wining, dining, doing nothing very much sitting around in Germany with the British Army of the Rhine ( BAOR )...., exiting that to be a stockbroker in London..., followed by being accused of making threats against Diana Spencer...., is quite what anyone who has family who have died in wartime would interpret as #anofficerandagentleman
  16. Quite. I remember him as the bloke who's next job he took after being a Minister for Health...... was deputy chairman of British American Tobacco. (BAT).
  17. Just been watching this afternoon's events on TV.. Conservative party imploding..., eating itself.
  18. Fairly predictable that a poll commissioned by pro-EU Tories would big up the LD performance. In a poll commissioned by me on me, I conclude that once a GE is declared and on..., Labour performance will much improve, and that the LD's will decline back to what is their core support.
  19. 'Spect he's in there now, marking his territory. Like Boris....., shite all over the place.
  20. Unlike referendums, general elections tend to be about core values. The values, ( other than views on the independence of Scotland ), and what will translate into manifestos, of the Labour Party , as led by Corbyn, are very much in tune with what voters now see as right, and sensible. BTW, I vote Green. Labour has zero chance in my rural English shire constituency, and the LD's will never receive my vote again.
  21. Clive Lewis is a w*nker. You've forgotten a prime factor of General elections. Oppositions don't win elections. Governments lose them. For me, politically , Corbyn is playing it about right. Brexit is , and always will be, a clusterfuck. Every thing that happens, day by day, makes it obvious in every way that it is a clusterfuck. And day by day, Johnson and those around him show who and what they are. As I said, Corbyn is playing the cards about right.
