Ayr's highlights are going to be worth a watch all season if they stick with this multi-cam format. It's like watching Zidane: A 21st Century Portrait except it's about Michael Moffat and rather than being soundtracked by Mogwai, it's Mark Kerr screaming "DO YOUR FUCKING JOB" right in a linesman's lug.

Possibly the nicest compliment I have ever received. Prepare for disappointment.

No, just speculating about a circumstance which may arise when it might be better for Ayr's second camera to be at the end they're defending. Understandably, they are up the other end to get their goals in all their glory.

Ha! I can't conceive of a situation where our penalty area would be busier than our opponent's... nope, no sir

    Is wuffster doing the production?

I'm only doing highlights, not involved in the streaming.

Think it's fine for replays but when the view cuts midway through a passage of play it's a bit meh.

Fair comment. "Crossing the line" when switching between cameras can be a bit jarring. I quite like switching on action though and not just using the 2nd camera for replays... I'll try a couple of different spots tomorrow. All feedback appreciated!

  4. On the "no away team video" agreement, I'm fine with it albeit for mostly selfish reasons. In a normal season I would go to 80% of games on either the team or supporters' bus so I was going to be missing plenty of away games anyway. It would seem easy enough to accomodate the usual crews safely if required.

I've mostly been able to get footage from other teams - it just might take a day or three to get it. Equally, I've always been happy to oblige other clubs. There are practical problems with getting footage immediately after a game just down to all the different equipment being used etc. Am I right in thinking the Championship Pixellot footage will appear on Wyscout as part of the SPFL agreement?

Just so we're clear then are there never any post match interviews with Steven Gerrard because the BBC choose not to take part in them or because Gerrard won't speak to them (under instruction presumably)?

I think (could be wrong) the BBC choose not to take part/report them. If I remember the original spat correctly, Rangers banned/made it clear that one particular journalist was not welcome at Ibrox. BBC told Rangers the BBC would send whatever reporter the BBC deemed fit to cover games at Ibrox. Not sure what happened then. Certainly has not stopped the national broadcaster giving certain teams a tongue-bath on every single sports show/bulletin.

Bought a new laptop, trying to download Sony Vegas with unsuccessful results.

    Apologies if this is off-topic:

Did you get it installed? I found Vegas to be quite a bizarre program when compared with other NLE's but still perfectly capable. Resolve is more traditional. I've been looking at different free/cheap editing software as alternatives to my Adobe membership.
