Dropping the prices makes sense. There will be many more "neutrals" go to the game. Even Dunfermline fans who would be thinking twice will be encouraged to turn up.
Why don't Dunfermline just pay the money due from the entry fees of the Cowden fans on Saturday? I'm sure if they would do that it would encourage many extra Cowden fans to go to the game . It's a win/win and get some decent publicity for Dunfermline FC.
Too many pals involved in making the decision. Leishman and MacDoog although not directly involved (supposedly) must surely have had some influence as these folk are all "pals" It all stinks.
Read this in "The Courier" yesterday. Thought it was a misquote at the time. Surely it has to be.
Is there any guarantee that any of the monies raised won't end up in Masterton's pocket?
Well done to all those who have donated money, I hope it isn't wasted.
If this is true and players are on £1700/week then it is no wonder that they are in a mess. Even half that it is good money for mediocre players.
How many other clubs in this league could afford that?
Agree 100%. Beating the Rovers or East Fife will never replace beating the Townies. Ask any Cowden fan who was at CP for the 4-2 game.
Such a shame that once again it's the fans who get shafted.
Pathetic. Many Cowden fans sympathise with Dunfermline, wonder why. You lot will be lucky if you can even play fitba next season. Credit to the Pars today. Takes some bottle not to try, even a wee bit.
