  1. Looks like we've missed the boat with the Irish and Welsh setting up a reserve pro league https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/45196621 Unless a deal has been struck to include them later on?
  2. I quite liked the world cup top with the tartan collar and trim down the side
  3. Dickinson has announced his retirement to take up a coaching role. Shame as he was just coming onto a game when he got injured, and has never managed to get himself fit again.
  4. The worst bit of the co-efficient is that the there is no change in the access list from 48th place up to 17th, then from 15th up to 4th each place pretty much is an improvement in terms of round of entry and number of teams. If it was smoothed out a bit would give more countries something to work towards
  5. I was just thinking, do we play any games during international windows? We will be losing Ecrepoint to the U17 and are Harvie and Doohan still eligible for the U21's?
  6. Weird - Thomas seemed to suggest he was (at least partly) to blame in the post stage interview. It did seem a bit chaotic though. I know they go on about the spectacle and everything but there's no need for those flares. Did GT not say he ran over his wheel after he hit the deck?
  7. I watched quite a bit up till the Hardy's and Galloway left for WWE and haven't seen anything since, but given the majority of the main players and now either in WWE / NXT not sure who they have on the roster? Who's left / joined up recently?
  8. Had expected a few ringers but that looks like the normal 7's squad, I take it no one is that bothered by the world cup
  9. Its a bit earlier as we are not even half way through the groups, but the only 2 teams (of those who have a realistic chance of getting through) you would really think we should be easily beating are Montrose or Annan. Then Alloa, QoS and Dumbarton would be very winnable, plus a few others in our league could go through, its the 4 european qualifiers, 8 groups winners and 4 best runners up.
  10. I get that, but given they are now training during the day, rather than evenings, you would think football is their main, if not only source of income so unless they are still staying at home with their parents so anything less than £20 - 25K a year (400-500 a week) is hardly worth while, as they'd be way better off stacking shelves in Tesco, and playing pt for £100 week.
  11. Im sure the FT players are on a lot more than that at the moment, most will be 11 months contract (usually to end of May) even 50 weeks at £400 week is £20k a year, hardly breaking the bank, or much more minimum wage.
  12. Samoa through to the World Cup, beating Germany 42-28 in the 2nd leg, was tied at 28 all with 5 minutes to go, but 2 late tries sealed it for Samoa. Germany though were the better team, just let down by their front row in the scrum, or could have taken the victory. Samoa although some great individual runs, looked like they had never met each other before never mind trained or played together Edit to add Germany led 16-15 at half time, only watched 2nd half as I was having a scroll through Facebook and saw it was on live
  13. I had expected more from Fergusson last year considering he had already made a decent amount of appearances for Motherwell, but dont think he ever overly impressed, but thought he did a fair job. Its only a contract til Jan so obviously been told to prove he is worth keeping. Only a bad bit of business if we miss out on a CH due to budget as Rose / Bell / Higgins / Adams is probably a bit short of cover. Could do with a decent draw in the next round of the league cup for a cash boost to get someone signed!
  14. I didn't realize they shared a dog, do they take it in turns walking it? Or due to quarantine issues does Graeme keep it and Lachlan just has access when he is over in Ayr?
  15. Murdoch, Ferguson (panic contract offer to stop him going to Dumbarton) and a GK imho
  16. From the sounds of things Hare-Reid has done ok in the Friendlies so no need to panic - we will be outscoring these championship diddies anyway
  17. Granted we do need cover for international I thought we might go for a cheap option and spend the rest of the budget somewhere else
  18. 9 caps for Oz so should be fairly decent, seems a bit left field given we have good options at 9. Would rather we spent cash on other positions that need first choice strengthened but hopefully he's a good addition
  19. Glasgow have hardly made any signings at all this year, i think its only 2. Pyrgos going is a lose, but having 3 of the top 4 Scottish Scrum halfs at one club is hardly ideal. From a Scotland perspective it makes sense. Is Blair still coaching at Glasgow or is he only doing Scotland now?
  20. I think I would be ok with Hare-Reid getting a few betfred games if it was definite McCrorie would be signed for hte league starting, but if its not a done deal we should be starting to look elsewhere (where i dont know though)
  21. I wonder if they would consider Hampden / Ibrox / Parkhead for the last game - still in Glasgow so more of a home game, but opportunity for a much bigger crowd than Scotstoun, potential for 25,000 attendance
  22. Samoa have won 1 game in about 20, not a patch on the side they once were
  23. He played over in the Toulon tournie with the u21's, then had about 2 weeks off before signing for us, and assume he has trained all week, so should be OK for today
  24. If they manage not to blow their 51 point lead in the 2nd leg then yes
