  1. Occular migraine. I've not had one for a couple of years but used to get them every two or three months. They're a pain at the time as it's so hard to concentrate but I always felt really shitty after them. First time it happened was pretty scary as I had no idea what was going on.
  2. Congratulations. In my experience. Yes. I found with our second one we were so much more relaxed it reflected on number 2.
  3. We needed a second car as a run around. Older kids at an age where football, swimming & extra curricular school activities mean managing with just he one car was becoming a massive chore. Especially with a four month old baby. I'm getting a car delivered from Cinch on Thursday morning. The whole process has been far better then dealing with a salesman at a dealership. I'd definitely recommend. Cinch do a 14 day guaranteed return so if I don't like the car after a week or so I can just send it back and they'll return my deposit.
  4. I move home in under two weeks and have wardrobes and nursery furniture to build. I need to get shelves up in the garage and cupboard plus other odd jobs. I'm going to buy a cordless drill but I have no idea where to start or what to spend. Any suggestions?
  5. This thread has inspired me. I've never worn a watch until I got one as a wedding gift 4 years ago which a wear daily. It's just a £100 Boss watch which looks fairly nice but I want something a bit better. I don't really know where to start, I keep getting drawn to Tissot watches, I really like the way they look. Any traps to avoid when buying? Budget around £500 mark, might stretch.
  6. That's great photo. What a beautiful happy girl.
  7. What a game Elden Ring is. I get completely lost in it. Throw it on with the intentions of having an hours playing time and three hours later I'm still engrossed. Paternity leave came at the perfect time, two weeks with a baby that sleeps 20 hours a day and the older two at school was great. Finding the hours to play now I'm back at work with three kids, a dog and a wife (in that particular order) is brutal. *checks works the annual leave calendar
  8. Ellis born on the 5th March. He was getting growth scans as our daughter was a smaller baby (6 pound 13, so must have just fallen in the small baby category). On the most recent scan there was little growth from the previous one so it was decided to induce. Perfectly healthy, 6 pounds 12. His mum smashed it again and we had him home about 9 hours after he was born. Settled home nicely, big brother and sister besotted. Weighed this morning by the health visitor and the wee milk guzzler is now weighing in at a fighting weight of 7 pound 15 already. Magic.
  9. Full weekend on Elden Ring and its superb. I'm not on the other hand of have probably died over a hundred times. Its definitely not easy but it is far more playable for wider audience. Being able to take a break from being killed makes it more fun. Torrent is great and I probably enjoy the combat on horseback more. I'm trying to level a bit at the moment. I'm at a point where the Giants on Stormhill are taking 7/8 hits to go down with the ashes of war I have assigned to my sword and they give out 1,000 runes a drop. Stormveil castle is brutal if you're not levelled enough. Yeah. other players that leave those messages yes, try and ignore them. If there's quite a lot at a given area its a clue that there's probably something worth investigating though.
  10. Elden Ring downloaded and ready to play tomorrow. Cans in the fridge and I have a day off. I cant remember being as excited for any game to come out.

Totally. Its like they're all playing in a bowl of honey.
  12. Now on to the home straight for number 3, due 13th March but she was late with the other two so we're half expecting the same. I think we're probably far to relaxed this time.
  13. Yeah, My wife and daughter have both been positive and lateral flows didn't show up until probably day 5, strongly at that. Both are going to need the full 10 days by the looks of it.
  14. I really enjoyed Bloodborne as well, it doesn't get the love the rest of the FromSoftware games get but it was the game that go me into this genre which I'm fairly new to. I get my arse consistently handed to me on a plate in them all though. I was highly enjoying Sekiro as well but could not get past Genichiro Ashina either. Eventually gave up with there being no summoning help at all. I'll go back one day. Demon Souls remake was more my level - very enjoyable and visually stunning. I've been through a few NG+ on that. I cannot wait for Elder Ring to come out next month - FromSoftware look to have cracked the open world game by the sounds of it.
  15. Our Christmas night out is tonight. Only 11 of us - few pints and a meal at a local restaurant All still game and looking forward to it. I'll not even bother tuning in at 12:15. I've had enough.

It is easily the sweatiest part of the game. I've not played weekend league since the second weekend in the game but I have found time to qualify this weekend - needed two wins in my last two games and luckily both were comfortable. Luck of the draw is massive.

I did say the gameplay has been as good as it has been for years, to be fair. I have two young kids, one I share the PS5 with. We're out most evenings with either football training, swimming classes etc. Weekends are generally busy so I play when I can. If I get the 7 wins in rivals for the week that that's a win. So I'm complaining about content but that doesn't quite fit with your generalisation. I think a grind towards an end game player (like the good old days) that would literally take months would be decent content. The objectives at the moment, I don't feel are particularly worth doing with what time I get on the PS5 when they'll become fodder very quickly.

That depends how you define usable. I would certainly say "14 useable cards" is pushing it. Majority of these will become fodder in a couple of weeks. I did the Dutch League one, to try and get Neres in my team after doing his SBC. Openda is a decent impact sub and the RB Owusu was good but I've quickly gone back to my usual team.

I think the actual gameplay is the best its been for a long time. The problem at the moment is the content. There's no really decent objective players to grind towards. I've got no idea what is going on with the transfer market but I've managed to buy Suarez for 498k and Joao Felix for 612k when I couldn't afford either not so long ago. I think I'll certainly make a good profit on these, especially Felix when his pace gets a boosted. Suarez is an absolute monster as well. This Friday promo is looking half decent though.
  20. Third yin. Like his old da. They dont call me the tripod for nothing.
  21. Fairly similar yes. They didn't offer - they said any questions and the wife asked if she could find out the sex. She was fairly confident but there was the caveat that obviously she may have it wrong. It looked fairly obvious to me that it was a boy to be honest.
  22. That is mental (by fathers). What is wrong with some people.
  23. We have now found out with all three. Makes life so much easier getting ready. No issues in D&G with letting you know.
