The incidents are different but the consequences for the clubs and fans and all associated with the clubs are the same embarrassment and shame. I’m sorry you just see it just as ‘ a group of wee Fannie’s jumping a boy after a football game’, this was far more serious. No one wants their clubs associated with either incidents  but they have both happened and the fans of both sides with have to suffer the brunt of the aftermath as the Raith fans have and are still doing and as yous will do for a while too.

Your suggestion Hobnob is  ridiculous. No one would ever wish any harm on any young lad like that. But the  stick you mention has been used on Raith and their fans for over two years now and you can’t expect not to get a shot yourselves for a wee while after the recent incident. I’m sure it won’t last the two years that it has lasted so far on our backs.

The fact you think the incidents are similar would suggest you're thick as f**k. How sad....

  2. What happened on Tuesday was sickening but not really that surprising to me. It's been brewing over the last couple of seasons & at some point an incident like this was going to happen.

I have to say I'm a bit concerned how this all pans out at the next home game. I take my dad to the games, he's 77 & uses a rollator (zimmer with wheels) & we park behind the NW stand (many away fans might not be aware but that is where the disabled car park is) At the first game of the season v Airdrie, I was walking (slowly) with my dad from his car to the disabled access doors at the back of the Norrie. At the same time, a group of away "fans", well into their 50s, ran up to that gate to confront the folks queuing to get into the NW but also passing by to gain access to the Norrie. It all got a bit ugly & I have to say not very pleasant to be caught up in the middle of it. There were 2 stewards there, who looked absolutely terrified. 2 policemen eventually turned up by that time it had all calmed down & the folks looking to cause bother had disappeared.

A week on Saturday isn't too far away & the club/police better be well prepared for what might come, especially at that corner of the ground.

In fairness, we pumped Dunfermline last game at the KDM with half a team missing and one centre back (playing his first game in 6 months and making his debut) along with a formation the manager decided on the afternoon before the game.

In fairness, we were also terrible that night, probably our worst home performance of the season, as bad as Ayr a few weeks before.

You did have a few players out at the back but you have a lot of quality in midfield and up front which probably masked your deficiencies at the back on the night plus again we were rubbish.

Our injuries have been right through the team not just limited to defence (although all our centre halves have had spells out) Every week it seems to be a different player out and someone has to move from their natural position to cover, often during games which has limited our ability to make changes to see a game out or get back into a game if behind.

However unlucky we may claim to be, JM chose to go with what we had, so this situation is, at least in part, down to him

I'm not making excuses and I'm not "at it" - even first choice 11 v 11 we'd be second best.

I'll go 1-3 for tomorrow. Stanton will probably still score....
