During our "successful" period, we were 4th because Aberdeen, Hibs, United & others were fucking rubbish. This helped us achieve higher league positions than we should have. Fast forward to 2013 & it's difficult to grasp how much cash was getting thrown at shite football players 10 years ago. Pointless comparing the 2 decades in my opinion. I'm more disgusted how our club has behaved in the last 3 or 4 years during a recession. The majority of clubs at this level have stripped back to the bare bones, whereas we've stuck our collective fingers in our ears & carried on regardless.

Even though the games aren't "top of the table clashes" I'd still have expected better away supports. 1300 on the 2nd january was piss poor IMO.

That is a fact though. The away support at the 2 derbies this season is down from 2 seasons ago by a significant amount (for whatever reasons). Not that we should be budgeting for large away supports anyway...............

Interesting to see GM will now speak first at Thursdays' meeting. Hopefully he'll be allowed to speak without it descending into a bunfight. Whoever is chairing this meeting will need to be on top form.

Just guessing but I'd say the money lost for giving away say 20 free tickets would be far less than what would be lost if the game was postponed. Possibly. Also, some are actually talking about paying to get in but bringing a friend to take up the free ticket. Good on them.

That's not what was said. Someone demanded GM get the game called off yesterday afternoon even though the pitch was clear, the USH was on & the forecast was for rain. The guy was obviously over reacting. Of course fans that travel a distance matter but we need to give the game every chance of being on.
