Next season in the championship has the potential to be exciting. Bradley, Lawal, Kelly (if we can keep him), Teto (if we can get him in the door) would be a young, exciting, and capable of getting in the playoffs squad.
But there's no way we stay up unless some crazy signings happen in the next 4 days. And we need to beat County.

Well, the Premiership has been fun for 5 years. See you in another 15

I think the idea that the first game was very even and would have been a draw if Montano hadn't been sent off is a little bit of revisionism tbh. Dundee won that game pretty comfortably in my head, a good first half performance was let down by an awful second half one, with Montano being stupid and getting sent off, alongside us getting lucky with Bakayoko's goal being called off. If we'd got a point after that second half performance it wouldn't really have been deserved.
Second game was much closer IMO. The primary difference between us and Dundee this year is that we've been toothless.
4-2-3-1 from the start plz this time. No Devlin, Sangare in at left back, Dan McKay in from the start.

Personally, I hope he's on his way back. I always liked the look of him, but he needed a run of games.
With the fact that Mickey Devlin is absolute shite, I'd take Boyes back now in a heartbeat.
Ditto, he'd improve our squad at the moment, bring him home

Bahamboula was a decent player on his day, but was lazy af defensively and probably just pissed Davie off with that attitude. Hopefully a busy few days incoming

Looks like Rankine settled for less than he was asking for.
Strange as Livi FC indicated in the pre amble as i understand it that if the case went ahead and found in Rankine's favour they would not be in a position to settle the £260,000 being asked for
If the above statement is close to being true then where is all the £££'s coming into the Livi FC?
There was someone associated with the Trust there today and a few other fans.
Next court case is in Feb as it stands.
How does that make you feel?

Our penalty record is absolutely abysmal

Decent. Excited to get the Fife Pound.
I can see us winning 4-1, I can see us losing 4-1. Only guarantee is that Jack Hamilton will score, after being pish here for 5 years.
I expected it to last longer than 4 minutes tbh

And Greg Stewart has signed for Killie, so that's not happening either

Let's be honest. The issue with Martindale is more than just being the football manger. He has a very unhealthy grip on all things Livingston FC and that is just not right for Livingston FC.
Definitely not. Only managed to get our diddy team to spend 6 years in the Premiership by giving him control. Very unhealthy indeed.

If there was one player we could ship out of the club this window, it would be Parkes. Not that he's a bad player or influence, but we're apparently paying him an absolute shitload.
if Bahamboula & Bitsindou also go then that's a great start.

If we could make it happen, he would be an upgrade. Wouldn't be surprised if we could get him here for 6 months to get him in the shop window

The local paper reporter with good knowledge said that the club inserted a clause in the deal that TS Galaxy would pay his wages if he didn't get a work permit.
Who knows how long that agreement was for.
I'm not a lawyer, but surely if the home office have declined a work permit, and he's training with us occasionally, then legally we can't be paying him? Otherwise we'd be paying him...to do work?

Do any Livi fans on here/twitter go to any games or do you all just watch on streams?
I make 5-6 games a season these days, just whenever I'm up in Scotland. The rest of the time, I'll watch a stream if I can find it. I suspect there are plenty of people in a similar boat

Only seeing th highlights on YouTube but is there another angle for the Guthrie offside? The one on the highlights surely can't be used to determine he was definitely off.
The stream I was watching at the time had a much better angle, he was definitely off. It was marginal, but technically correct

Quote from the statement said he's asked for his contract to be terminated due to homesickness and that may be 100% true but it doesn't sit well with me.
Got the impression that Martindale didn't rate him but I thought he was solid enough with the occasional lapse in concentration.
He was the only central defender we had with a small modicum of pace so losing him isn't great.
Our CB options are now Devlin, Parkes, Obileye & Nottingham and possibly Donnellan but I was hoping he'd nail down the RB / RWB role. So I'd hope we're looking for another CB especially after how bad Devlin was yesterday.
Yeah, something smells off there. Martindale clearly didn't rate him after one too many blunders, and he's spent the last 4 years in Finland/Scotland so that homesickness must have come on pretty quickly.
Tbf, if he didn't want to be a bit part player in a relegation battle, moving him on is probably the most sensible thing to do.

Guess there's now more context as to why De Lucas hasn't been picked recently.
I say that, there's no context to this. I know people need to be shipped out, but this still feels harsh. Prone to a brain fart, but was our best defender for our best spell this season.

We've looked good enough so far, steam ran out a bit for the last 15 minutes or so though. Hopefully keep it up but fear that a Hearts goal is just game over.
Be interested to see what VAR actually gave after our goal for it to have taken so long - something insignificant about 5 minutes before? Or just a simple offside from the ball in? Regardless, if it takes that long then it's not clear and obvious, get VAR in the bin.
If the referee could start applying the rules consistently that would be great, but he seems intent on making it all about him.
It was a simple offside from the ball in. Guthrie was coming backwards, and was off by the width of his arse. Technically correct, buit frustrating, and no reason for it to take 3 minutes.

VAR is an absolute shambles. 3 minutes for what's a quite basic offside?

Nouble dropped. Devlin starts. Shamal dropped. Happy enough with this lineup.

Both penalties in the 'technically the correct decision but not really in the spirit of the game' decisions. First one is a push, and it starts in the box. Soft in terms of contact, soft in terms of position, but an infringement that starts in the box is a penalty. The second one, yes it looks like he gets a lot of the ball, but there's no angle good enough to overrule the original decision, particularly as he's coming in from behind and is likely to have caught some of the man as well.
3rd goal should have been chopped off, but we were so shit defensively I'm quite glad it wasn't just to make the point of how we've gone from one of the best mentalitites in the league to massive bottlers in the space of a calendar year.
