  1. Weird game of football. Even though we lost 4-1, I'm actually not too disappointed. Hibs have sorted their shit out, and look a decent outfit again. Youan is up there with the best non-OF players in the league at the moment, him & Boyle next season could be a solid front line. Didn't think we looked too bad. We were the better team up until the equaliser, and then mentality issues seemed to kick in. Fitz sitting off for the 2nd was criminal, but I'm blaming Devlin for both of them. He's had a shite season, the sooner Brandon is fit and fighting him for the spot, the better. Shamal had his weakest game in a Livi shirt as well. Flapped at a couple of crosses, dreadful distribution, and even though there was a deflection he should still be doing better for the 3rd. Other than that, there were some real positives. Anderson and Omeonga had a great press. Nouble was causing all sorts of problems in the first half. Holt showed us exactly why we missed him in the centre of the park. Sending off was harsh, whoever it was that 2-footed Obileye should have walked, and I'm surprised the 4th wasn't ruled out for a foul on the keeper(although I haven't seen it back yet, so all 3 of these opinions might be absolute shite). (EDIT: Wasn't 2 footed, but it was dangerous. One of those orange ones. And there wasn't a foul in the 4th, if anything Shamal clatters Nisbet) United midweek now looks like an important game. Got to stop the rot, and with the way the heads went down after the equaliser then there's some work to be done.
  2. As far as I'm aware, Omeonga and Shinnie are on high wages. Both haven't provided enough to justify keeping them on that salary. They've both been good players, and assets to the squad of course, but as high earners then they're first out the door when we're needing to be more conscious about finances. Holt may well fall into the same bracket. Devlin as captain is slightly different, but he could move on and get more money elsewhere, and I wouldn't blame him for that. I'd be surprised if any of the 4 are here next season.
  3. My favourite moment was when Nouble pulled out of the tackle before Shinnie was near, Shinnie dived anyway, somehow the freekick was given (and then his brother was booked for dissent). Then, 2 minutes later, Devlin catches Shinnie quite high on the shins, and then for some reason Shinnie spends the next 30 seconds shouting like a hard man as if he hadn't deserved his shit for diving. And after all that, I'd probably still give him man of the match. Aberdeen's pressing was just better than ours. We deserved nothing from that.
  4. I believe that we have an option on Parkes, Obileye and Boyes. With Luiyi signed, and Fitz leaving, then Deas would make a 5th CB. Is that a sensible number to have? Wouldn't be surprised if Parkes or Obileye goes.
  5. Big game. A decent run in the next 3 games and we can almost secure top 6 before the international break. Anderson being fit has a big impact on our chances, but I don't see him fit. I know Martindale said the injury wasn't bad, but I've been hurt before. I suspect we'd have better luck with a Nouble-Guthrie-Bradley front 3 instead of a Kelly/Dylan-Nouble-Bradley one.
  6. Omeonga literally pulls out of that challenge. What the f**k is the point in VAR if it's not for things like that?
  7. Tierney is missing out quite simply because of how well Zinchenko is doing. They're different types of players, Zinchenko has a phenomenal ability to link the play from left back, he's a much more technically capable player than Tierney. Tierney's still the same player that he was and will excel in a team that plays in a way more fitting with his capabilities. I expect he'll go in the summer.
  8. Would be a little weird, but not too out there. I genuinely think he's been the best keeper in the league this year (with maybe slightly amber tinted specs on), and Rangers are desperate for a keeper. He'll be cheaper than a lot of other options they have. If Rangers offer 1.2m? He's gone. Although we're certainly in a good negotiating position.
  9. Fucking Caley Got our number this year it seems. Well played.
  10. Martindale has been quite forward about how much he wants a Scottish Cup run, so I'm not surprised to see the best team out there. Looks pretty attacking as well with Pittman, Kelly, & the front 3. Boyes has a bug apparently
  11. Isma may well end up as a decent signing for Raith. It didn't work for him at Livi for a collection of reasons (One of which being that he's still overweight 5 months into the season), but there's clearly still a player in there. He doesn't have the energy needed to work in this Livi team, but the technique is clearly still there. Wouldn't be surprised to see him be your player of the season. I also wouldn't be surprised to see him get 2 games for you and rot on the bench.
  12. Yeah, surprised he's gone permanently. He looked like he had potential, and 6 months of FT football in the championship could have unveiled a player. Hey ho, another name off the books.
  13. I feel like there are some rose-tinted specs floating around re Sarkic. His kicking was phenomenal, but he also was prone to a blunder every now and then. This is an interesting question. I think I'd give it to Max's free kick save from Barisic.
  14. Inspired by watching Motherwell on Sportscene, and being a fully paid up member of the Shamal George fan club - where does Shamal lie on the list of quality keepers that we've had since coming up? I think I'd put him top of the list: Shamal Sarkic Kelly Stryjek Ivan, Schofield, Stewart, Barden, Maley McCrorie
  15. Well, that second half was a bit shit. First half was class, Nouble/Anderson/Bradley looks like it might have potential.
  16. Fucked it lads. What's the story here, do you just have an incompetant admin team? Just a one off?
  17. That's Queen's Park booted out of the cup, we get Caley instead
  18. Killie seem to be two different teams, home and away. I'd be disappointed without a win here. 1-0 Killie. Scott Robinson to score the winner with 5 mins to go and run straight to Martindale giving the 'GIRUY' gesture
  19. Seen reds given for tackles like Maeda's one there. Glad Celtic stepped back in the second half, or we'd be looking at a 6-0 defeat again. Good to see Noubz back. Probably not fit enough to start on Saturday, but good to have him back in the squad.
  20. Callum Carson mentioned that there was one expected outgoing left tonight, I'm surprised that it's Clark. Cancar in particular I expected to go out on loan. Isma/Fitz were also possibilities.
  21. Looks like Mullin has officially moved on to Ayr. Guess Martindale won the game of chicken https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/ayrshire/josh-mullin-admits-staying-ayr-29092418
  22. Pre-injury Guthrie looked like he had potential, but post-injury Guthrie has been pretty useless. He was the hardest worker in the team in September, but is arguably the laziest now.
  23. Not the best game so far. Shankland should have scored from that corner, but Livi have been (slightly) the better team. Anderson and Omeonga have been class so far.
