I've been reading alot into it, mainly through info on websites. Some of the formulae look quite daunting, but I am sure, like anything, it will become easier. I am really only looking into it to aid my gambling, as most books I have read on that subject say a good basic understanding of the probability theory is a necessity.

Yep. I phoned up to ask about a standing order that hadnt came off. Right off the bat, without any reference to the question I had just asked, the guy says 'Would you have any interest in a personal loan, credit card or overdraft. I told him I was probably too young to have a credit card at the minute. He then says 'no no no, Mr when I was your age I had 7 credit cards already'. I was only 19 at the time.
