  1. Someone has just wrote on my facebook that a bid has been accepted by TBK and Kennedy.
  2. I was in the same predicament as you, with regards to clubs. My uncle had given me a old set of Wilsons that I played okay with but I felt they were really heavy. I had a couple of good wins on the horses and bought the Nike Slingshot irons I spoke about a few posts up. I done nine holes with them on Monday and could see an improvement straight away. I seemed to be finding the sweet spot on the iron way more than I had been with the older, heavier clubs.
  3. I am yet to strike a ball with them, but they feel really good in my hands. All the reviews on the internet say that they are weighted in order to get the ball in the air better, which for a beginner is obviously a good thing.
  4. Just bought my first set of new clubs today. Nike Slingshot Iron Combo set. 5I to PW and a 3 and 4 iron Hybrid. Also came with a Nike putter. Got all that for £249. To complete the set I still need a good bag, a driver and a sand wedge.
  5. Fistral Beach ran a cracking race there, just couldnt stay on after the final fence.
  6. Gone £20 each way on Fistral Beach here. Paddy Power paying 5 places, 1/4 the odds on the Topham.
  7. Darlan, Silvianco Conti and Finians Rainbow £25 treble. £20 single Harry Topper in the 4.15.
  8. Accy, Doubles and Trebles on :- Fahamore 3.10 Get me out of here 2.40 Steps to Freedom 3.40 Master Milan 4.40
  9. Well just played my first full 18 holes since I was about 14. Went round in 104 and I got considerably better as I went on. Need to go ti the range and practice my driving. Chipping and putting was really good as was most of my iron shots, although I did duff a few.
  10. Cheers mate. I am just back from the World of Golf driving range in Clydebank and had a browse around the American Golf shop. They were selling a set of Wilson clubs, 4 iron up to 9 iron, putter, driver, 2 woods, PW and SW aswell as a bag for £229. That seemed like a good deal to me. Are Wilson clubs of a good quality?
  11. Where would be the best place for a beginner to purchase a full set of clubs and bag, at around the £400-£600 mark. Not bothered if they are second hand aslong as they are in good condition. I have had a look on the net but I would need to buy irons, putter, driver seperate.
  12. £25. Maybe more if its one you have just picked up at the side of the street.
  13. I don't think that photo is from a club, as the guy far right of the photo looks to be injecting smack straight into his arm.
  14. Tannoy is a brand name. Public Adress system would be the appropriate term for your fictional story.
  15. What was the final score? Cant get skygo to work on my phone.
  16. Is their not a picture with that same guy dribbling all down his shirt. It is revolting.
  17. Can you imagine Sky sitting at the Ally Pally doing an interview with people from the crowd
  18. Paisley has a post office/paper shop/subway. Very convenient.
  19. Are you talking about the dutch guy and the welsh guy They really were horrendous. Number one attribute of a score caller should be that your accent doesn't grate with the watching audience. These two guys made me want to turn off.
  20. That was ridiculous. 54 darts thrown at the board in one leg is a shocking standard.
  21. The score caller looks like hes about 15
