You know, I've read and enjoyed some of your posts recently but this just makes you look like you have an agenda against the club's supporters (as did AND180Y's on the last page). The guy has said in the record article that he realises that the club shouldn't be top-6 SPL but can be sustained in the first division. That indicates he's not going to speculate to accumulate as the other owners in the past have done which completely diminishes your point about Livi fans simply being happy-clappers who get excited over someone with cash to spend. He may have cash but the reason that the supporters of Massone may now want McDougall is the fact that he is looking at stability for the club after a year of shite. The morons supporting Massone shouldn't be in the first place but the fact that they are now being offered another alternative to Massone is the reason why they may change their minds on him. Err.. No, he doesn't. It was a hypothetical amount that he used meaning that he would accept because it's silly money.

He won't take over as soon as he sees the level of debt he's buying into.

To be fair, we've been running on about that for large parts of this season and the last with youth players simply making up the numbers. I would think that a few members of our league and cup winning under 19s will be promoted to the first team squad to make up the remaining squad. It's cheap for Massone and he could technically go a long time throughout the summer without worrying about hiring a manager to look for his own players.

That's my point though. That's why they think we'll finish 7th, because we have the squad at the moment. They're still looking optomistically towards next season.

No, I don't think so realistically. I'm simply saying why the person on LiviLions may think that we'll finish 7th. At this moment, we have 13 decent first-team players signed up for next season. A few of them might have been told they can go but regardless, there are 13 first-team players that are signed at least until May 2010. Whether they leave on breach of contract over the summer is another matter.

The reason why they are predicting 7th is the fact that we actually have a decent first division squad signed up for next season amidst the controversy, which is more than can be said for the likes of County, Ayr, Raith and possibly a few other teams. A lot of people seem to be forgetting that fact.

For anyone who has been involved with administrators before, how much money do you reckon they would be looking for to sell the club?

I just hope it's over quickly again. I know you don't personally support the trust MCL but if Nixon can take over soon after we go into admin, I'll be happy. I really don't want us simply to be reinstated in this division though, it would be painful having to suffer consecutive relegations when we actually begin to live within our means.

I just hope we're relegated to the 3rd with the slate wiped clean. It's the only way for us to prosper in the long run. Nixon and co. are fans which makes the difference in my opinion. Perhaps with a community based club we can increase the attendances over time as there is no way we can move forward with a home support which barely reaches 1,000.
