Shinnie has played centrally for the last 4/5 seasons for Luton and Charlton. Possibly an upgrade on what we have but strikes me as a bit of a panic signing given we have 7/8 centre-mids. Really not an area of the park we need to be strengthening.

Great player but plays in an area of the park which we are not utilising in this formation. Waste of time if we continue to play in the same way.

Absolute shite from us, Alloa well worth their win. Understand we have norovirus and COVID problems but that was close to a full strength first 11. Crossfield balls out of play is not my idea of the 'exciting' team that Martindale said he was building.

Will be interesting to see what strength of team we are able to field tomorrow. We had apparently a 5th positive covid test among players & staff since returning for pre-season this week. This may explain the absences of Holt and Sibbald from the recent games. For anyone interested, here are the accounts to June 2020 which were just published - Accounts. Watched him play 30 mins in a friendly against a champions league side from Gibraltar and he looked very useful. Winning headers and causing problems for defenders throughout. Could be wrong but I think he will be good for you. Surprised we've sent him out on loan. Maybe still a bit raw given the level he's played at.

Wrong Joel after all. I'm surprised we're sending him out on loan, he looked like a monster in the friendly we played. Suspect he will cause absolute havoc for Arbroath.

Would love to know what Martindale's plan for this season is. Can't see an obvious one based on the players he's bringing in.

This is potentially a great shout re Sibbald. Would fit that role a lot better than Pittman did on the other side.

Possibly looking at it with rose-tinted glasses but I saw Jacobs as the type of player who would always have the energy and ability to play at any level for us. If we were relegated, I'd want him in the squad and I still want him in the squad now. If his injury has gubbed him a la Raffa, it would be a great shame.

Don't think this formation works as things stand. Pittman playing too deep as LF says and the wingers felt useless as the full backs were playing so high. We looked a lot better after the subs (Reilly, Forrest & Hamilton) were made. Surprised Hamilton didn't score at the end, he should be really useful this season. Brechin looked ok. Showed good spirit throughout and threatened towards the end. Best of luck to them in the Highland League, would be great to get back to Glebe Park in the near future.

Video quality of the stream is excellent. Streets ahead of what we normally have for cup games. Early days but not liking our midfield. Trying and constantly failing to spray 30 yard passes.

I'm not 100% sure but may be due to it being a safe option. Our first two home kits following the switch to Livingston were Black and I think that history is used as a bit of a crutch instead of risking a template shade of yellow for the home kit.

We regularly switch between black and yellow/amber home kits.

I think the square on the home kit will grow on me. Not a fan of the away.

Need more photos before I make my mind up.
