  1. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/52899339 This looks to be either poor reporting or a plan that isn't particularly well thought out. 'Each player and member of staff will have to fill out a Covid-19 questionnaire before every session, while also being subject to a contactless temperature check to ensure they are free from the virus' - Temperature checks will not do anything for asymptomatic carriers of which I believe most people are. 'Clubs will carry out their own Covid-19 tests, rather than use the NHS, and will conduct them twice a week for the foreseeable future, but due to high demand, it could take up to six weeks for testing machines to be delivered.' - I haven't been closely following the Scottish coverage but as I understand, there is considerable capacity for testing (80% not used daily). Others may disagree but why not use this for the presumably 100 tests per club per week in the short-term until clubs are able to attain testing machines? This could even be a good opportunity to launch track and trace. I also think the idea of shielding players and their families aside from them attending training is pie in the sky.
  2. I'm a big lover of Shagz based on his time with us but I am not sure he is good enough for a Top 6 team.
  3. Presumably has a move lined up. Not heard any rumours on that front yet though.
  4. Think Sarkic is out of contract. That would be a great signing if we can pull it off but he will likely be on big bucks. Same case with Brown but I am not sure we can take the gamble unless we offload another defender.
  5. Agree with most of that. Forrest has some really big shoes to fill but I am hopeful he can step up. De Vita needs a good preseason behind him and a run of games. Not sure what his best position is now. Glad Tiffoney is getting another chance as he has the ability to tear teams apart with his pace. Needs to work on his end product this year.

Sign a keeper and we are done.
  7. I'm a big proponent of Scottish Mortgage so this is welcome news. Would hope that the majority of any donations will go towards testing capability for teams.
  8. Imagine referring to yourself as 'a big boy' when you can't admit you were wrong. "The official account keeps telling them it's not [a joke]". That included responses with GIFs of Donald Duck, Sylvester Stallone and Tom from Tom & Jerry. Super serious, bro.
  9. Surprised 14-10-10-10 has not got more of an airing recently. I think a slightly modified version of the Livingston plan would have a genuine chance of being voted through. Scottish Premiership: 14 team league Split – Top 8 (40 games) and Bottom 6 (36 games) Two automatically promoted from Championship Two automatically relegated from Premiership Promotion Playoff - 12th (Prem) vs. 3rd (Champ) Scottish Championship: 10 team league (36 games) Two automatically promoted to the Premiership One automatically promoted from League 1 One automatically relegated from Championship Playoff system remains in place (9th vs 4th League 1, 2nd vs 3rd) Scottish League 1 10 team league One automatically promoted to the Championship One automatically promoted from League 2 One automatically relegated from League 1 Playoff system remains in place (9th vs 4th League 2, 2nd vs 3rd) Scottish League 2 10 team league One automatically promoted to League 1 Promotion play-off between 10th League 2 and winners of HL/LL playoff. Perhaps if you were to consult with the League 2 teams, the relegation format in League 2 could be made more ambitious than it currently is.
  10. Player of the season - Lyndon Dykes Young Player of the season - Matija Sarkic Goal of the season - Jack Stobbs Gary Maley was on TalkSport this morning. Worth noting that they said that this was a charity bet, where Martindale would donate £1 to the John O'Byrne foundation ('make a wish' style charity) for each vote placed, if he was kept at the club. Clearly not the case now but he says he will donate two months wages, if he is given a new contract and this will be matched by Martindale. Going to hit roughly 190k votes and a 3% increase in followers by 6pm today. Overall, a great success for the club.
  11. I find it remarkable how many on Kickback are hailing this as an excellent, well thought out plan. That Kool-Aid has certainly gone down well.
  12. I'm clearly miserable so hope this is leading to something positive like multiple contract renewals. As a publicity stunt, I can't argue with the 60k votes within a few hours.
  13. Yeah, I think you're right as Callum Caron mentioned it when he was about to move. Will amend. Agree with you on Lawless leaving which may mean Souda coming in more regularly with Rafa as backup. I don't think we will be bringing many in given the money we stand to lose. Would rather see Jack Hamilton getting a chance than us going for Austin - he's not shown much above League 1 level.

  15. We threw away so many points from winning positions and didn't pick up many that were undeserved on the balance of play. I am sure other teams will say the same but I agree with you, crispy - there was not much between us and the two teams above us. Motivation for next season.
  16. I imagine trying to get Lawless & ATS on new deals and bringing in a new keeper will be all we are aiming to do this summer.
  17. We end the season with our second best finish ever and a positive goal difference. It's been a very enjoyable one.
  18. McCann thinks it's 'tough' that more teams will be relegated in a few years time and teams should make concessions to reconstruct and keep Hearts up.
  19. Michael Stewart - Both sides [permanent & temporary] need to give concessions. That's why permanent clubs should agree to a temporary solution with the 'potential' for a permanent change. Given permanent reconstruction could happen at any point in the future, that is not a concession from the temporary side.
  20. Worst automatically is Celtic due to the possibility of an impeded view. The way the sound reverberates around the ground is pretty cool though. I voted St. Mirren for best. Can see the game well regardless of where you sit and it's comfortable. It's also very enjoyable listening the seething home fans.
  21. Thanks for the context. Is there more chance of the boundary moving south? Also irrelevant to this discussion but have been wanting to ask for a while - is there a formal East/West boundary?
  22. Topical and something that should be questioned but not a smoking gun of wrongdoing in the saga, in my opinion. Agree that Brechin should go to the HL based on the boundary and not to the LL based on their preference. I am just an observer on the LL/EOS/WOS forums so I am not sure of the history of the boundary and why it was placed at the Tay Bridge, for what it's worth. Reading the forums, it seems like there is little appetite for moving it further north.
