  1. That list is great, it's added me a pile of new followers. Hello to them!
  2. I'm still insure on where you shouldn't apply it to...
  3. Could it just be a case of looking to get a budget in so that players can be signed earlier in the summer, no matter what league we are in, giving us the better choice of players to sign (or re-sign our current players)?
  4. Seems a great deal to me - no matter what league we're in. I'll need to find the time to go down and buy it now.
  5. Also, there's an interview with Dave McGurn in the SFL newsletter this week. http://www.scottishfootballleague.com/news/article/david-mcgurn/
  6. However, assuming a 10 point deduction in the SFL is a dangerous one as there is no specified penalty. They could very easily deduct an extra point or 2 in some cases to make sure you get relegated.
  7. But the real question is, how did you give up the extra strong mints?
  8. That's fair enough, and the headphones will be a giveaway. My frustration is more with people texting/sending e-mails.
  9. People who feel the need to take their mobile into the gym. It's obviously some attempt at seeming important, but succeeds only in making them look like a p***k.
  10. I'd wager this is true at most clubs. I'd imagine that Stephen's and not Dunfermline pocket the profits on each bridie and heard that very similar was the case at Ibrox.
  11. Saw these earlier and could only think of this thread, far from the only shockers from Kirkcaldy this weekend.
  12. Frankly the abuse he's been getting all season has been ridiculous, and he was singled out for more of it today. It would take someone with the patience of a saint not to eventually react. Maybe some people need to take a good look at how they support the team over the 90 minutes. The lack of backing whenever any team scores against us (especially at Stark's) is a disgrace and more often than not this season the support has been silent from minute 1.
  13. Spot on, there are far too many people who claim to be interested but are far too quick to make their excuses when it comes to actually putting their hand in their pocket. There are those that say they won't go because £17 is too expensive, and, fair enough, some people genuinely can't afford that, but given the costs the club faces that is the price they have to charge. You could reduce the price to £10 and most of them still wouldn't turn up (at least regularly anyway) because there would just be some other excuse. We'd have to more or less double our attendance to make it worth it and it's just not going to happen. Tonight was another chance to try and get some money into the club, and only a couple of hundred people could be bothered to go down. The team are trying to play good football, the club itself is trying to be more transparent (hence the open meeting) but people just can't be bothered. But those people will sit behind a computer and slate the team, the club or whatever they can.
  14. Maybe because the offer for Baird was nowhere near that amount? With the goalkeeping scenario, what I don't understand is why we can't bring in a trialist rather than getting a player in on wages.
  15. Same as most people, mainly use it to follow sports news and comedians. Occasionally post on @markf268 if anyone is interested.
  16. Only seeing it this morning, but it does include that he's here until January 2012.
  17. Is it possible that the shirts are only really going to be sold at ACA, especially since there was planning permission put in to change the shop to a bar?
  18. Will be interesting to see if he's still got the legs to play at this level. As much as I like Campbell, I wouldn't be expecting him to be able to play 30 or 40 games in a season. He will certainly be good at dealing with a big centre forward but doesn't have the pace to deal with someone with pace any more.
  19. Rumoured on Twitter that Queens are signing another of the players released by the Rovers alongside Simmons. I would have a guess at Craig Wilson personally, but any idea who it is?
  20. Sky Sports used it on an advert near the start of last season.
  21. People still believe that things should only cost what they did years ago. The problem is that for the Rovers (and every other club) the costs they incur will have increased with inflation - staff/player wages, maintenance costs, electricity, gas, etc. If you think that means they can charge the same to get in as they did in the 80s/90s, then it's deluded.
  22. Try reading any of your numerous posts that start in the same way. And trust me, those are never good stories.
  23. Yeah, people tend to have those. Except those people who start a story with "my friend" did/said and then admit quickly that it was themselves (sound familiar?)
