  1. I thought the whole world ground to a halt so everyone can watch what is undoubtedly the biggest and best derby in the world?
  2. How long do geggs take to get made? If I go in tomorrow and get an eye test can I choose my frames and all that shite on the same day? When will I get them? Probably be Vision Express.
  3. Shrewsbury after some c**t in the discussion thread said the were a shoe in
  4. Awright smart arses, can it go in the oven? It's fucking solid and not coming out the container, my eyes lit up when I found this and my stomach needs something in it to stop last nights booze sloshing around making me feel shite. I want it now.
  5. I found a curry in my freezer, it's in a take away foil type container, can this container go in the mircrowave?
  6. Whats a classier alternative to Morgan's Spiced? It's not something I drink very often. But I've been asked along to a mate's maws 50th birthday, I asked what her favourite tipple is and was told Morgan's Spiced. Doesn't strike me as a good booze gift, same way if she drank voddy I wouldn't turn up with Smirnoff, I'd spent a few bob extra and get something a bit more fancy. Any suggestions?
  7. What would happen to a man if he couldn't take a jobby, say for example he had his arsehole sewn up?
  8. Ryanair are not too bad (assuming you have the intelligence not to get fleeced). Train travel in Scotland and the UK is of a good standard. Mock The Week is pish these days.
  9. Are there any places in Eastern Europe that are easy to get to that are dirt cheap and relatively unruined by stag do's? Just curious cause I've been to a fair few cities over that way and the beer wasn;t much cheaper than Glasgow in any of them. I take it the days of 50p for decent local brew are well behind us? I'm hearing more and more good things about Berlin, I think I'll maybe do 3 German cities in 10 days next summer.
  10. Just back from a trip that included 3 nights over a weekend in Riga. Good news - the horror stories you have read on the internet don't happen as much anymore. Bad news - the things you've heard about local women throwing themselves at British guys and everything being cheap also does not apply anymore. The local women have obviously been scared off by all the w****r filled stag do's that seem to go there (I should add it wasn't just me or my mates who had little joy with the local birds, other foreigners we talked to including ex pats said the same thing). Any really hot bird that approaches you is likely to be inducting you into one of the scams you've read about. Never pay for a bar bill using a card. The drinks are not cheap, a pint of the local brew ranged from around 1.5 - 2 Lats in the pubs (about £2.50). Any short in most places costs about 3 Lats and they give you pish measures and loads of mixer. Drinks in clubs are the same as pubs. The party goes on until 7am. One place I would recommend is a pub called Albert's on the main square, owned by an English bloke who was sound, gave us some pointers on where to go/where not to go, gave us decent drinks at deent prices and serves really good food. Cause of the position of the outside seats you can also oogle all the Latvian birds until your wankbank is full to the brim.
  11. Stuck a couple quid on this Keltic Lord horsey, his price is drifting, I get the impression it is going to do shite.
  12. Another train question, whats the deal with tickets from Glasgow - London, you used to be able to take your pick of trains from £14-20 one way if you booked 10-12 weeks in advance. Now the cheapest fares are £35 and thats on East Coast so takes the best part of 6 hours, cheapest Virgin is around £45. Unless of course you want to travel on the 05.30am train or the one that gets into London at midnight where Virgin is £17.50. The weekend I'm going down is more than 12 weeks away but checking the up coming weekends I can't find anything that is particularly cheap, going down Friday and back Monday. Is that just the price these days? Not much incentive not to fly is it?
  13. I take it there are no ticket barriers at Dunblane? Technically you aren't allowed to do it but if there are no tickets barriers you obviously can.
  14. Another quick question, are 888sport a decent enough site in terms of good odds. I check oddschecker and stuff if I'm doing big single bets but as a general rule of thumb do they give fair prices? I have been using Coral as my main online bookie for years but I now have no money in that one and money in 888sport (initially drawn in by that no lose £20 bet), should I withdraw and redeposit elsewhere or are they alright?
  15. The NFL season doesn't being until the end of September, I want to bet on 49ers and Ravens to win their respective divisions in a double, both are currently 10/11. I have never looked to bet on something this far in advance before, in the more experienced gambler experiences how likely are these to drift in and what are they likely to shorten to, should I do it now?
  16. If you travel first class on the train to London from Glasgow do you get free booze, the websites aren't clear, East Coast seems to be saying you get sod all apart from a hot drink and a paper, Virgin is even less clear, it appears you get free booze and food Mon-Fri but no booze at the weekends. Basically there is a lot of the word 'complimentary' and hunners of stipulations. So if my mate and I go down on Friday afternoon and back on Monday morning can we get absolutely sloshed on an endless supply of free ale in first class? I'm not that fussed, we'll be equally as happy with a carry out and a sandwich from Greggs in standard if needs must.
  17. Seen as you can get music tracks illegally on the internet can you do the same with the content of books? I can't be arsed buying a couple of travel guidebooks I need.
  18. 1. I've never had the misfortune of flying Ryanair, I know the c***s charge £20 a bag, I don't want to pay this, if I go to pack my shit and realise I simply can't cram it into a carry on size bag can I add a bag to my booking online for £20 or will I have to roll up to the airport and no doubt have to pay a shitload more? 2. Anyone think of somewhere with decent cheap pints and good tellys for a Thursday all day pub session in Glasgow (centre or west end), my weekday student drinking days are behind me so I don't know where the mad promos are, any pointers, ideally tell me how much the pints are.
  19. Bring it to Firhill next season and I will cut your heart out with a spoon.
  20. Okay back to the cashback question, I've never actually got cashback before ever on any card, didn't realise £100 was too much. So supposing Morrisons have a £50 cash back limit, can I go in and spend £20 on my credit card, get £50 cashback and only have £70 appear on my bill?
  21. Okay, where can I spend £20 on my credit card and get £100 cashback and only get charged £120 on my bill?
  22. What I want to know really is can I spend £20 in supermarket with credit card and get £100 cashback as part of the transaction and only have £120 on my bill?
