That's not practical on any level.Okay then I will give my opinion on this unprecedented situation.
I cannot see any sport being played again this year so in effect I have written off 2020. Β I appreciate there are many problems to overcome, so when football can again be played complete this season 2019-20. Β Cancel season 2020-21 in its entirety,Β we will need some sort of pre season to get players up to fitness. Start July/August with season 2021-22.

You wont get a level playing field I'm afraid, we're in an unprecedented situation and difficult decisions need to be taken, and soon.No chance my head will explode. It would just give more unnecessary money to the legal profession. Have the future Gretna of Fife allocated a sum of money in their 5year plan budget for legal expertiseΒ ? Β Oh sorry that is just petty cash for them. I just want a level playing field.

Nobody is really badly penalised this season. If subsequently next season you can't stay off the bottom of a 16 team league well, nobody else to blame.
2 or 3 clubs who would have been in Tier 3 under the current structure, and so at least two seasons away from possible relegation out of the SPFL, would be in the bottom tier under this structure, and so just one season away from relegation, so definitely penalised
Whatever happens, someone, somewhere won't be happy.

A bit more clear cut than our league though.Β So has a precedent been set?
Doubt it.Β Brora way ahead of everyone else, unlikely to be caught, and maybe the others are not fussed at the chance (albeit very unlikely) of an SPFL play-off.

I'd like to see the SPFL go 14-14-16.
Dundee Utd and ICT go upto Premiership, top 6Β in League One into Championship, everyone else plus Kelty and Brora into L1.Β Nobody penalised.
LL are then down to 15, no relegation, promote Bo'ness and Threave (if they want it) and open up applications for 18th place (or second EoS club?). Allows then to relegate 2 clubs next season.
EoS Premier potentially down to 14, promote Tynecastle, LTHV, Leith and DunipaceΒ (the only 4 clubs with realistic chances of promotion) and run with 18 for a season. Drop a cup or two to accomodate.
Below that, Conferences as has been agreed or First/Second.
Not perfect by any means, but a way forward where there's fewer clubs losing out, and the SPFL gets much needed reform.

As if to prove my point above, Brora Rangers handed HL title, season ended.

However, what's good for the SPFL might not be for the EoS or the WRJFA. Leagues need to make decisions based on what is right for their members and not anyone else. There's also massive disparities between league games left to play in the various leagues.I would hope for although not necessarily expect consistency across Scottish football1 -
Take care of yourself and the family, looks like you've done a top job so far. Hopefully there's no rebound in the virus over there, some things are way more important than fitba.I never imagined for a moment thatΒ where I lived would everΒ be this relevantΒ on PnB, but I have lived in Shanghai for the past 15 years. This whole virus situation is a shitshow for everyone everywhere, but regardless of anything else the social distancing approach seems to have been effective in China. I spent basically a month living at home with the mrs and four year old wee girl, only going out a couple of times a week to get essentials. It wasn't so bad. Managed to avoid going bananas and restricted myself to two beers a night max. Besides I was free to come and go as I please, but the streets were pretty deserted which was freaky in a city of 25 million people. In other words, everyone was taking it seriously. From what I can see back home, folk haven't come to terms with it all yet.
I really stronglyΒ recommend everyone on here follows official instructions. We're in uncharted waters and everyone needs to take it seriously.
Things are slowly returning to normal here but the schools aren't back yet, pubs and clubs still mostly shut, cinemas and other public entertainment the same. They're talking about starting up the Chinese Super League in April (was meant to start end of Feb) but I think its a bit optimistic. Most likely will be played behind closed doors if so. And that would be a full two months behind schedule at the earliest.
So to compare this with what I know what's happening in Scotland, and considering it looks to me as if they are going to struggle to contain the spread, I wouldn't expect any football to be played before the end of May. And that's an optimistic prediction. I really hope I am wrong.Β
Anyway, although I don't comment on here prolifically I do read most days and feel some familiarity with some of the names on here. I hope everyone is alright. This won't last forever.

Some news just out;
"Policies to limit the spread of coronavirus would need to be in place for "at least most of a year" to prevent intensive care units being overwhelmed, according to official scientific advice to the government."
As I said earlier, trying to get next season off the ground may be difficult let alone finish this one.

If this runs into September or october we would be aswell just continuing and writing off next seasonΒ
Contracts expire 30th June.Β There's upto 8 new clubs applying. It simply isn't practical to continue this season indefinitely and writing off next season.
Looking at the figues above you're looking at 9-10 weeks to completely finish the league season, scrapping cups. That is in addition to 3 or 4 weeks "pre-season". So maybe 3-4 months to complete the league season (not taking into account the weather).
Clubs need to start sorting player contracts and budgets for next season, and start raising revenue from ST sales and other ventures.
Players and coaches will also be wanting to go on holiday once the travel restrictions make it practical, as will referees and committee.
The PM said today they they hope to see the "tide turning" (ie the peak in cases heading downwards) in 12 weeks, that's mid June and that's just for things to begin to start looking better.
IMO we need to accept this season will not finish, and declare that on resumption of football (whenever that is) it will be 2020-2021.Β Let's say by some miracle we can start pre-season end of June and start playing mid July, great, ease clubs gently back into the new season allowing for holidays etc. and get the new clubs on board.Β
However I think that is excepionally optimistic. Ian Maxwell doesn't think Scotland will be playing Israel in June.
What's important is that a solution for the SPFL isn't neccesarily the best for anyone else, a solution for the LL may not be best for the EoS.Β EoS need to do what is best for their members.

Let me put this in simple terms for you.
You are against the SJFA being involved in the pyramid/WoSFL. Yet that is the compromise that has been reached. So if you are against the first you are against the compromise. That compromise (appears to be) the form the WoSFL will take. So you are against the WoSFL.Β
And all clubs will retain membership of the SJFA unless they chose to leave it behind. So that choice remains.
Yer just in a huff because the juniors still exist and your petulance is obvious to all.You really are something

We have everyone working from home who can work from home. The rest of us are business as usual, unless self isolating. Expecting to have working from home capability in place in the next few weeks, but I'm not convinced. Was meant to be in that position from last week onwards and for whatever reason it hasn't happened.
Β
Pretty much us.Β Work from home if you have the capability, those who currently don't go into the office on a rota basis until IT catch up with getting them remote access.
One thing is for sure, those companies who spent years chipping away at Business Continuity Plans to save money, are now getting bitten on the arse.

You have stated you are against the WoSFL as the compromise recently proposed sets out.
No I'm not, stop putting words into my mouth.Β Β If this is the level of debate that you're only capable of then I'll be leaving it with you.
I'm against the SJFA being involved in the Pyramid/WoSFL.Β I'm against choice being removed from clubs wh want to remain Junior without asking them. That shouldn't need repeating.
Enjoy your day.

Or, alternatively, you find a compromise that lets them enter the pyramid whilst staying saying they are junior. They seem to have found a solution in the west keeping all sides happy but you are dead against it becauae it "forces" teams to join the very same pyramid you have spent years telling them will make no difference to them...
It's not me that's pushing that line, wrong guy.
Joining the Pyramid, certainly with the experiences in the east, is a better environment to play in.Β It certainly didn't "make no difference".

All I was pointing out was we should all be classed as Scottish Football teams not Senior or Junior.
I completely agree with that sentiment. However, there's more than a few at Junior clubs who want to remain just that, proudly Junior, preserve our grade etc.
So you either let them have that choice to do so, or you shut down the SJFA, SAFA etc and force everyone into Pyramid leagues.

I see you're back with your unhinged red dot campaign. a couple of dozen at the last count.
Is that all you have to worry about to fill your sad little life?
It may go against your normal instincts, but at times like this, try being nice to people.
