  1. Do the SPL have the same requirement as the SFL about a club being able to prove it has the means to fulfill it's fixtures for the coming season otherwise you're out? That's what eventually did for Livi I think.
  2. It really makes my blood boil when I read/hear crap like this. You think wrong Mr Yorkston, you think wrong. Totally out of touch with reality. Where is the balanced reporting any media is meant to present? Even allowing for the succulent lamb brigade, the non voice given to the anti Rangers stance is a disgrace.
  3. The Periodic Table entry is quite spooky... Ng Atomic No - 72 Discredited claim to discovery of hafnium. Name designated by discredited/disputed claimant.
  4. We all know how that'll go... Headie opens his office door...'RANGERS, get in here this minute and sit down. You've been a very naughty boy' Headie closes his office door...'Alright lads. Help yourself to the single malt. I got that box of Havana's you mentioned. Right, I've started to get the new league set up you wanted in place....'
  5. Sounds like Mr Ng has been taking advice from Willie McKay and is basing his strategy on the highly successful Doncaster Rovers business model. Excellent.
  6. Hmmmm, he's the only one that could be classed as trying the intelligent and respectable facade but his true leanings are showing through more and more.
  7. If his/the SNP's influence on HMRC sees them settling when they wouldn't have otherwise, with the result that Rangers survive, then surely the political interference in Scottish football is direct with massive knock on effects for the game in Scotland. That's worth a lot more than a slap on the wrist but, come to think of it, who would actually get punished by UEFA? Surely they could only sanction Rangers but by then the damage would have been done ie they survived. If they sanctioned the SPL or national team then the innocent get punished twice.
  8. Excellent. That can of worms get further open every day. Go hang the interfering b*****ds.
  9. Posted by one Tim Malloy Rebel Bhoy, an obviously fine, upstanding individual who is shocked by its content and unable to understand how people can hold such outdated, narrow minded, bigoted views in today's society.
  10. Why? Why do people do that? Seriously, why on earth would someone embarrass themselves for life like that? Of course he has to call them Glasgow Rangers because nobody outside Scotland would know you they were otherwise.
  11. How sweet. In a couple of months they'll be back to where they started all those years again. Karma does exist.
  12. He's obviously rattled by the truth as I've rarely seem him swear. In my experience down here Rangers = QPR. Glasgow Rangers = Blue Bigots.
  13. You lived in Devon in the 80's? But you were a season ticket holder going to Ibrox then too. How can I argue with such first hand knowledge though. You lived in England for a while 30 odd years ago. I've lived in England for the last 15 years. You obviously know better. I submit.
  14. Have to admit that I'm not a betting man but what I find amusing is when Rangers gets mentioned down here people think that Mark Hughes isn't likely to keep them up! Having a load of ex-pat weegies and bigots set up supporters clubs when they emigrate does not make them the 'global brand' they fantasise about being.
  15. A break? Try getting out permanently. You can go for weeks without hearing about them.
  16. Roughly along those lines Of course you can use administration to dump your useless manager and assistant manager, clear out all of your duff players and screw over local suppliers whilst still thinking youre an SPL team.
  17. Good. Sounds like we're on the right lines anyway. I think you're right about the double points penalty. I remember everyone being fuming at Bates manipulating the system. They changed things afterwards to make sure you couldn't go into admin at a time that suited the club therefore avoiding damaging points deductions. Definitely not liquidation though which was the key point.
  18. In my extremely limited knowledge, I believe Ken Bates was one step ahead of everyone setting up different companies and taking advantage of the administration process. I don't think the actual Leeds United playing side was ever liquidated. As far as I understand, Rangers are one step behind and there are no other companies involved other than The Rangers FC, the one that is the football club, the one that owes all the debts and the one that will get liquidated. I'm would be delighted to be corrected if that's not the case.
  19. Which Leeds United was liquidated...Leeds United Football Club Limited, Leeds United AFC, Leeds United PLC, Leeds United 2007 Ltd or Leeds United Association Football Club Limited?
