  1. Oh & who remembers Davie Kirkwood having a long throw?
  2. Apart from wee Tam what a tall side we had back then, I know the really toit shorts would make anyone look tall but even still! The back 3 of McLaren, Halley & Burgess was formidable
  3. Players have to self isolate away from the club & that includes either away from their families or the families have to isolate with them. So it means their wives can't go to work & for part time teams, the players can't work either.
  4. I am gobsmacked that footage of this game is available, will be brilliant to see it. Well done to the Bairns for unearthing it & particularly well done to the guy who did the handle turning for a full 90 minutes on the cine camera
  5. The atmosphere was electric that day, my face would have been a picture when Alan Irvine waltzed round Gordon Marshall to make it 2-0 though. What a bloody good team we had then, didn’t win a league game til October & missed out on promotion to the top league by a couple of points. I don’t think we really appreciated how good we were that season. Had the heart ripped out the following season losing Marshall & Burgess to Falkirk & were never the same again!
  6. When is this being shown Grant? I remember the panic looks on the Falkirk fans' faces when we got it to 2-2
  7. Yeah but no but yeah! Yes we were 5th when the season was curtailed but have been 4th after beating you guys, 3rd after beating Raith the following week, then would have been on Raith & Falkirk’s coat tails til the final day when who knows where that would have left us. Play offs then a breeze! In my head anyway! Nobody thought Arbroath would have progressed with a settled squad & look at them now, a model to follow imo.
  8. You’ve no idea the lockdown laws we had to break to get a pic of Thomas in an EF top!!!! clandestine to say the least!
  9. The bit is we should have used the black top with red shorts & socks, did it once, won 4 zip then that combo never saw the light of day again! My pleas fell on deaf ears!!
  10. Got that, the white top slides on to 3rd kit! [emoji1]
  11. Let me tell you the players would wear sack cloth & ashes just to get back playing! [emoji15][emoji15][emoji15]
  12. Yeah that’s more achievable! [emoji15][emoji15]
  13. Jees Scott we couldn’t afford his pension contributions never mind his wages!
  14. That would be fantastic so it would n that n aw! Doubt it somehow
  15. At East Fife we could work with a minimum of 3 people but it’s generally 4. It’s not hugely expensive but you need a pretty fast laptop, we just bought a new one at around £1100 & probably around £500 of other outgoings. We pay a subscription for the streaming platform & wifi dongle around £35 each per month. EFtv is run separately from the football club so any profits belong to EFtv although the money from our ‘as live’ games goes directly to the club. If we end up live streaming closed doors games then I assume we would have to charge whatever the gate price is with all that going to the club. The downside is that there is nothing to stop a group of people paying one £15 fee & gathering somewhere to watch therefore costing the club revenue. Maybe talking out of turn here but I’m sure that we would be happy to stream away games on behalf of the home side with the revenue going to them but then a great deal of trust would be required! Getting back to numbers we feel we could offer an even better product with more volunteers which has proved difficult to get but sure we will be inundated with offers if we end up playing behind closed doors! Should add the the main camera belongs to EFFC & cost £1400 3 years ago but the quality of lower priced cameras has improved greatly since then. Just have to make sure they have all the necessary outlets.
  16. Might apply to full time players as that is their only job but can’t see that players will be able to claim for their main job AND PT one too!
  17. THIS The biggest hurdle for away games is the internet availability. We use a dongle & on the whole it is more than adequate but can still be temperamental . At Clyde in August it was perfect, in January was awful but the opposite at Falkirk. One of our media team is away this week so it will be down to me to make sure the stream works & in truth I’m bricking it! Got a full list of do’s & dont’s to go thru so it will be an early start on Saturday. Fingers crossed. I’m not sure if it is possible for the Spfl to just allow live streaming of every game within the UK as there are UEFA rules & legalities as well as broadcasting partners to satisfy. Perhaps it could be done but won’t happen overnight.
  18. Priming myself for my ‘that’s a foul throw’ followed by ‘that’s a foul throw’ followed by ‘THATS A FECKIN FOUL THROW’ followed by ‘aw just gies a break man’! Write my own scripts too!
  19. Did the same against East Fife recently & wasn’t even spoken to! Refs in awe of him perhaps
  20. How? Name one game where we’ve parked the bus. We may have been outplayed & hemmed back in games but never set out to sit in!
  21. Two young teams with two drums, should be a brilliant noisefest! Dueling drums stand off on the cards!
  22. Have to say i am also surprised that our fans will be in the north stand. If we bring 100 tonight that will be pretty good considering the weather but surely we could have been housed in the north end of the main stand?
