  1. 'Anti-Semitism' really has come a long way since the 1940s if we're going to play semantics about description. Call them what you want, the point is absolutely clear.

You'd be as well calling me a bigot for stating that Scotland has been a Protestant country for 450 years. Err, it has. Israel is fundamentally a Jewish state. The policies of said societies will be filed under the dominant people, for example, Protestant Scotland has long been a virulently anti-Catholic society. Does this make every Protestant in Scotland responsible for this? Of course not. Stop being so fucking stupid.

I'd say 'get off your cross' but no doubt you'd have a hissy fit about that term as well.

You really are a pathetic little bigot.

  2. Apart from the Israeli Arabs, who will ultimately constitute a majority of the population going by current demographic trends.

Personally I hope the Israeli Arabs vote their nasty little state out of existence, though sadly I suspect the current Jewish majority will impose some form of informal apartheid system long before that could happen.

Quite frankly, this post just smacks of anti-semitism. Not as blatant as SS 18, but there none the less.

  3. Around 48.30, which was under my target of sub-50. Bit gutted though, as it was going really well until about 6k, when my knee (which I have never had an issue with) began to really hurt. I was almost in tears at the end, but as soon as I stopped, so did the pain. Just a dull ache now.

  4. I did the Strathclyde Parkrun yesterday - first time there as I normally do the Glasgow one, and what a difference no hill make. Took it easy, as doing the GSR 10k this morning, and still had a PB. I really liked the pacers idea (which I don't think I have ever seen at Glasgow), and the distance markers on the course (which Glasgow definitely doesn't have).

  5. I was OK with that section last year. I was struggling once we left the Pollock Park.

My aim was sub 2hrs, probably too obsessed with it. Still managed 1:55 but it was hot. Hopefully it's shit weather and not too dry.

That was exactly what happened to me last year. I was feeling brilliant over the Bridge and through the park, even up the road to Crossmyloof station. Mentally I had prepared myself that it was all downhill from there, so would be a scoosh. It was anything but, and from thinking I might break 1.50, I ended up with a 1.58. TBF, 2hrs was my original target, but it was going so well...

  6. How many of the 70 realised that statue is a memorial to the 66 football fans that lost their lives on the 2nd of January 1971?

Are we doing mock outrage then?

If so, how many of the Rangers fans who turned up to the service at Ibrox last year know that the tragedy was 100% down to the Oldco, and cost driven decisions taken by it despite several similar crushes on the same stairwell in the past?

  7. We are in a good position in that matter.

Several of the youth are ready to step up, but they can't sustain a full season at 17 and 18 years old.

And, wake the feck up. It's too late to cut player budgets. They are under contract that has to be honoured. Every team in the SPL/SFL is in the same boat.

Every team budgets for the season ahead while the previous season is still ongoing.

RFC has cause carnage for the finances of every team, with maybe the exception of Celtic.

BUT, if all teams can sustain a level of whatever quality, then the competition with out the cheats should be good.

Do me a favour and read all I say and don't just pick things out. Think about how it will pan out with or without them.

Every team budgets while the previous season is ongoing? I wish the Rangers situation hadn't just suddenly appeared after the season end! If only there had been warning signs in, say, February...

  8. Find it very hard to believe that the land Ibrox and Murray park is on is not worth more than £11.2M.

Unless you are living in cloud cuckoo land, there is no way they are worth £11.2m.

    1. Murray Park has a covenant that prevents a change of use. So it is only of interest to a limited amount of buyers.

    2. Ibrox has a listed facade which would require to be retained, and

    3. Ibrox is in the midst of a post industrial wasteland, with plenty of space to build "houses" without incurring the demolition costs.

If they are worth more than £2m all in, I'm a monkey's uncle.

  9. That Miller bloke is being more unreasonable by the minute.

Clearly the fantastic Rangers support had nothing to do with his decision not to get involved.

Your comment though about it being thrown out from the start shows two things: the police thought that was their intention, and the CPS thought they could prove it. The CPS being told they couldn't prove murderous intent doesn't mean it wasn't there.

Are you seriously saying that if this case was brought to Miller's attention (after the barrage of abuse from others of the group he was trying to help) that it wouldn't have made him think twice ... because the intent wasn't to actually kill?

Who the f*** are the CPS?

  10. Sure, and tax avoidance is perfectly legal right up until the time when it isn't. You can call it what you want, but if HMRC don't agree with you, there's not much you can do about it except appeal. The old saying "Tax avoidance is legal, tax evasion isn't" is a catchphrase employed by accountants to reassure clients. It's bollocks.

No offence mate, but that is bollocks.

You can indeed appeal. That's what happens when 2 sides to a dispute disagree. One of you will be right, and it aint always HMRC.

  11. No - what will work is fans making clear now to their Chairmen what will happen if Rangers are simply "readmitted" - be that by a "half" boycott, or by supporters trusts / fan groups doing what the Aberdeen fans have.

If a group of fans at each team who feel strongly enough were even to enter the ground 15 minutes after kick-off, so the Club isn't financially harmed, but the message is sent out that X fans won't be back if they let Rangers back, then they will do the sums. Even 500 - 1000 fans doing so would cancel out Rangers visiting twice a year.
